Very Peaceful

Very quiet and peaceful. Very clean facilities. Only one washer and dryer. Well maintained although we never saw anyone in the office, but they'll call you back. No Verizon service. Only T-Mobile and AT&T. WIFI only works around the office / facilities building. Have plenty of levelling equipment available!! Some are very level, some are not level at all. We were in spot 32 and 4" laterally and 19" longitudinally out of level to start with - at my max hitch jack limit and still 3" nose low. Saw others even worse. But we managed. Still a very peaceful experience. Nice huge fire rings and good large picnic tables!

A Jewel in so many ways!!

This trip was one we'll be talking about (positively) for a long time to come. The Pennington's are meticulous in their development and care of this property. Mitch helped me set up in the rain after our arrival. Teresa knows the area very well and can point you in the right direction. They are Delightful and the kind of friends you want to keep and share. The camp is spacious, quiet and peaceful. The facilities are immaculate! Can't wait to return for fall colors. Be sure to check out the Potomac Eagle scenic train adventure! If you're a pilot, this is your place! You won't be disappointed with your stay here!

Very Nice!

Very well maintained park. All pull through sites with full hookups. Even with the occasional train near by and well behaved children having fun it was quiet and enjoyable. The WiFi is campground typical. I'd recommend staying on the North end closest to the gazebo to avoid the porta potty business on the southeast side.
Pool was great. We'll go back - easy trip from northern KY. If planning on Mammoth Cave get your reservations early as they can sell out quickly on weekends.

True Get AWAY!

Do not trust your GPS to get you here. Make sure you have plenty of gas before leaving any town. Study the direction map link on the web site. There are no signs until you get there. Be sure you're going to the right campground. CSP is big and GPS will take you to many places (wrong places) in the park, many trail but useable roads. Once here, enjoy the tranquility and very friendly, helpful people of the area. T Maybe and Verizon work fine. Didn't try the camp wifi. Did not use the bath house. In general, Tennessee State parks do a very good job. Site was not level but paved. Not crowded at all. Large spaceous sites.

Best yet in a year!

We've been at this a year now. Within the first hour my wife said "This is the best yet! I love my new campground!" The owners are amazing! Accommodating & helpful. The wifi was off the charts in a great way (Kelly told me they over engineered it - they sure did!). Very clean & we'll maintained.
I could go on, but I'd rather just start planning my return for a longer stay.

NICE! QUIET! RELAXING!

It was a weekday in July, soon after the 4th, probably about 30% capacity, but even if it was full, this is a VERY NICE campground! Mostly level concrete pads, nice picnic table & fire ring. Internet, meh. Typical. We bring our own wifi (T-Mobile was fine). Good BBQ across the river at the truck stop (Hog Wild Pig Crazy) was very good. We live only 35 minutes from here but we'll be back if we just need to get away!
