Otter Creek State Park wraps around a reservoir in the high desert near Antimony, Utah, and the campground managed by the Utah State Department of Parks sits directly along the water's edge. Sites are positioned close to the shoreline, with some shaded beach spots available for longer stays. The campground runs year-round and accommodates tents, RVs with full hookups (electric, water, and sewer), and walk-in or boat-in arrivals.
Fishing draws the most repeat visitors. Rainbow trout are the primary target, and anglers can reach the water directly from camp. Several reviewers stayed multiple nights specifically for the fishing, with one extending a week-long trip into a second week. Sites are spaced fairly close together, though the campground rarely fills to capacity, so neighbors tend not to be an issue. Cell service is unreliable, and the WiFi is inconsistent, so plan accordingly. Otter Creek RV Park and Marina is adjacent, and at least one camper reported picking up its WiFi signal when the park's own connection dropped.
Facilities are a consistent highlight. Reviewers note large, clean bathrooms with showers and a small general store in nearby Antimony for resupply. The campground also works as a base for day trips to Capitol Reef and Bryce Canyon. Anglers and those interested in campgrounds near Otter Creek State Park will find additional options in the area, including Otter Creek, South Point Recreation Site to the north. Reservations are available and worth booking ahead for summer weekends.
