Hyrum State Park Campground

This is a small state park campground located in a neighborhood. This lake was so popular while we were there over Father's Day weekend. As busy as it was, everyone followed the quiet hours and it was so peaceful at night.  We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and would definitely return. We were in electric and water hookup site number 3 in the middle row. The sites along the water have great views, but little shade and do not have any hookups. The sites are close together ,but angled nicely so you still have privacy. The surrounding neighborhood is lovely with a mixture of farms and new construction. Felt completely safe biking and running through the surrounding area. The park is close to the town of Logan, Utah. We loaded up our bikes and took advantage of their extensive trail system only 15 minutes from the park. The town of Logan has everything you need to restock on supplies including Costco.

Beautiful boating lake, lots of bathrooms, plug spots and none plug spots, lots of access points to the water, popular fishing destination. Cute town with nice shops and people. Pretty close to other campers, not secluded in any way, and Hyrums farm cow smell is pretty brutal when it’s hot.

We love state parks and decided to try Hyrum Stare Park for a couple of nights as we were heading south. This state park is basically in the middle of a neighborhood of a small community. Locals seem to love it but it’s not crowded at all.. It’s right on a small lake with a boat ramp and a small beach. The campground is small… about 8 or 9 sites with w/e and about a dozen sites with dry camping. All the sites are paved (even the dry camping sites) and level. Grassy and shady on most sites. Two bathhouses and a dump on site. Picnic tables and fire rings at each site. They also have a couple of cabins available. No store but there is a few things close by to get ice and a few things. It is totally fenced and gated. The gates close at 10pm and open at 6am. Very peaceful and enjoyable!

This is a great campground, the host is really nice, it’s clean, has great bathrooms and a great view of the lake!

Got in late around 2100. Plenty of spots available in the back without electric. I did get a spot right next to the lake. Has picnic table, firepit, and charcoal grill available. I camped out of the back of my truck. There is a road that runs on the north side of the ground that can be loud from passing traffic, otherwise quiet. Handicap accessible bathrooms and showers, plenty of hot water!

Stayed here on a road trip across the west. Easy late check-in, quiet (mostly RVs), and hot showers. Perfect for a night in the Logan area — it’s located within a neighborhood on a lake. Felt much safer than other rustic options nearby. Would stay again if I were passing through. There are a couple cabins for rent (which you can see in my photo). There are features located near the bathrooms sharing historical info, where I enjoyed learning the history of this area that is the Cache Valley. We enjoyed our morning coffee with a beautiful view!

I've camped here several times since I was a child. It's nice that there is a river that runs nearby. There are about 50 campsites on a first come first served basis. The road gets narrower as you drive up the canyon and the campsites are spread out along the way over about 5+ miles. I wouldn't recommend going too far in with a big trailer. Fires are allowed only part of the year. The forest service puts flags in the fire pits when it gets too dry. There are hiking trails (such as leathams hollow) and a few rock climbing routes as well. Lots of people go four wheeling and motorcycling as well.

Loved this place will definitely go back. Spacious and not too crowded. Lots of hiking spots!

We had a good time, the beach is close you can cook and play, drive your food and gear down to the water. Sand is not real fine a little closer to dirt but kids had a good time. The wind can kick up and get a bit choppy and in season there is a lot of boat traffic the camp ground is also the boat ramp access. The showers are awesome lots of trees and good grass in the campground. It’s the typical cram in next to your neighbor type start campground. I would go back if it is ever part of another trip/route.

We booked this campsite later into the season so we were lucky to get a spot. We have a pop up and although we didn't get a spot with electricity, it ended up being a great stay! The campground is also a day use area for boats so there is beach access which is great. Facilities are nice and well maintained. The only thing that was annoying is that they lock the front gate at 10PM so if you are out after that time, you have to park your car on the street and walk to your campsite. It's a residential area and a lot of the street parking is restricted since it's close to the boat ramp. You'd think they would at least have a code you could use after hours! Seems strange it would close that early when it's so close to Logan, a college town. Our site, number 7 had lots of shade, close to the restrooms but was close to the road and away from the lake.
