Bridger Campground

Within Cache National Forest, Bridger Campground sits along a river corridor that draws both tent campers and RV users seeking water hookups. The US Forest Service manages this $23-per-night facility, which provides vault toilets, picnic tables, and fire pits across sites that vary from wooded to more open terrain.

The campground shows signs of recent beetle damage that removed many trees, though fishing remains productive in the adjacent lake. Andrew A. notes "fishing in the lake is great" and mentions the water body accommodates kayaks. Several campers report crowding during peak periods, particularly on weekends when ATV enthusiasts frequent the surrounding canyon roads.

Access requires navigating what multiple visitors describe as rough road conditions, especially in the upper sections of the canyon. The double site toward the back of the campground receives consistent praise from reviewers, though one mentions an abandoned camper visible from that area. Cell service reaches most sites, and pets are welcome throughout the facility.

For those planning visits, continuing up the canyon road reveals additional camping options if Bridger fills up, particularly useful during busy summer months when campgrounds near North Logan see heavy use.

Many campers appreciated the spacious sites with clean facilities and scenic canyon location. Common feedback included excellent fishing and hiking opportunities. Some visitors reported issues with sulfur odors and mosquitoes.

First campground in the canyon

Great trails and a beautiful river. The double site in the back is my favorite (except the abandoned camper across the road). Very wooded. Campsites have firepit and picnic tables. Water source but no water hookups. Vault toilets were clean and looked new.

If this campground is full, continue up the canyon. Great sites along this road.

Stunning views BUT.

Absolutely stunning views BUT I cannot adequately describe the smell of sulfur and rot that permeates the island. No idea when I'll get the smell out of the camper. ALSO THE SWARMS OF MOSQUITOES. I am wearing 3 layers of clothes in the scorching heat of the day because they are biting through my clothes. I itch all over and even DEET won't touch it.

Loved this place will definitely go back. Spacious and not too crowded. Lots of hiking spots!

Great place for family adventures

There used to be a lot more trees here but due to a beetle infestation a lot of them have died and been cut down. However it's still a beautiful area and fishing in the lake is great! The lake is big enough for kayaks as well. Plenty of camp spaces for RVs or just tents. Great surrounding area for four wheelers and other ATVs.

July Weekend

Spent the night enjoying the canyon - had plenty of campsites, but was pretty crowded it seemed when we went. Overall a nice place.
