Wide-open BLM rangeland off Lower Nowood Road in north-central Wyoming, this broad flat field sits beneath some of the darkest skies in the region — the Milky Way is visible on clear nights with no light pollution in sight. The dirt road access is in good condition and manageable for 2WD vehicles, with room to pull well off the road for added privacy. Coyotes are common in the area, and bug spray is worth packing in warmer months.
