Water-based activities take center stage at Westport Recreation Park, where military families can access full hookup camping just steps from the waterfront. The campground operates seasonally from May through October and requires military ID for entry, positioning campers within easy walking distance of Westport's fishing pier and marina facilities.
Full water and sewer hookups accommodate RVs of various sizes, while picnic tables and accessible facilities serve tent campers and those with mobility needs. The location provides direct access to beach walking and tide pooling opportunities along the expansive shoreline. Cell service reaches the campground, keeping campers connected during their coastal stay.
Juice B. recommends visitors "try visiting the nearby Westport Winery for good food, great wine and a beautiful garden." The town's seafood restaurants and charter fishing operations sit within a short drive, while Washington's tallest lighthouse marks the southern end of the peninsula. Campers report finding ample shoreline for exploration and beachcombing.
Those without military access can find American Sunset RV & Tent Resort nearby, offering similar coastal access with different reservation requirements.
