Beautiful campground located right next to the bay awesome walking distance from our site to the bay and not too noisy either! Would definitely stay again perfect for small children as well!
Loved staying here and will be back for certain. Quiet in town and on the unbelievably warm waters of the shallow Birch Bay just across the street. Typically close RV park with tent camping as well. Wonderful manager and camp host. Clean!! Easy to get to as well. Lots of places to walk and bike to.…
We stayed for 4 nights in the Forest loop campground, #69. We tented. Lots of vegetation surrounding the site. Private feeling, clean site, bathrooms were renovated and clean. Tokens needed to use the showers. Three minutes per token, four Tokens for $1.00. You can buy the tokens at the entry…

Large forested campground in a massive state park. Lots of trails and Great Lake paddling. Beach access but strong currents make this a challenge to kayak on the sound, at least from the Cranberry Lake CG.
We stayed on a Sunday night, arrived when there was only 3 tent sites remaining. The campground is right at the ferry dock so you will get that early morning fog horn. Easy walk up the hill to the fort. We had a bald Eagle in the morning which was awesome. The restrooms are very clean. Showers are…
We came to the island for just one night. Reservations are HIGHLY recommended prior to arriving on the island for any type of accommodation. We arrived at the resort at 11:30 am and was able to get a site for same day. Check-in isn’t til 1 pm so we explored the island. Since this is a resort, it’s…
RV & trailers with helpful park rangers. We arrived same day and found spots to park our 30’ RV. Water and power with waste at central spot. Padilla Bay is dramatic and quiet morning and evening, a short walk away. Lots of kids and great for them to finally play together in the common field.
We didn’t have a reservation, but lucked out on a great site. All sites have a calendar posted with reservation dates listed. First come first serve is available for any not reserved that night. There’s a self serve pay station where it’s east to pay using card or cash. Super close to the Ferry…

We stayed here in the hottest part of July 2021 it is extremely dusty all roads in the park are dirt/gravel you drive through a Casino to get in the park. It is very/ wooded with large trees. There are a few FHU sites and they use a waiting list we were fortunate the folks the were in the one we…
I suspect that if you are reading this you are already aware of the fact that you will not be roughing it at Deception Pass. Your about 10 miles from town in either direction here in a large & highly staffed state park.
There are really 3 campgrounds here. The fabled Bowman loop (if you…
We came up mid week for a few days. It was gorgeous. Nice old forest sites right on the water. A short path to the beach and playground. Beautiful new restrooms and well cared for state park
