Clean and tidy state park camping. Big camp sites with plenty of room to gather, play, or eat and spaced out nicely from other sites. Ever some of the next door sites are not visible due to the plant life so that is great if privacy is your thing. Close to water. Close to beach. Lots of hiking…
I grew up in the San Juan Islands and had never made it to Deception Pass State park until now. I am so glad that we were able to book a spot here. It is very peaceful and beautiful. Lots of birds chirping, big trees, and ferns. We stayed in #170 which in our opinion is super private and spacious.…

We stayed at Bedal for one night. We were at site 18, which was huge and very private. Great option if you have a dog who does not like other dogs (like ours). The sites were all really well spaced, and we would try to book one of the ones on the river next time. The only problem I had with our…
Deception Pass is one of our favorite campgrounds in WA having lots of coastal access and a trail system along the water which takes you to The Bridge as well as other lookout points on Anacortes island.
At different times of the year you can fish the shoreline for Searun Cutthroat and/or…
Site was clean well maintained. Easy access to the river. There is no plumbed water on site but there are a couple of vault toilets and dumpsters available. If following google maps it may have you drive past the entrance, but there is a turn around once you realized you missed it.
We car camped with our three kids for a few nights. It was like most state parks, so not super private or remote - but it was a good state park. The tend sites are wooded and private. Showers were cold. We walked down to the beach to clam for dinner, which was a neat experience for the kids.
The sites are very private and there is a ton to do here. Hiking, beach, boat tours. We went pre-COVID, so there might be less to do now. In the evening they even had a concert at the outdoor amphitheater. It was one of the best places that we’ve camped. Really great for our kids.
RV sites 1, 2, 4, 9, and 11 will be easier to back in to. The other full hook up sites are 90° approaches. Very nice park for playground and a very nice venue building. A lot of picnic tables in the open and in the shade of trees.
Small rocky beach only accessable when the is not to…
Close to the city, gorgeous lake..
Right on the river on one side of the freeway, and hood canal on the other. Has some road noise for sure. Good hiking.
Cute campground very close to Seattle and Bellevue right on the lake. Beautiful beach area, basketball courts, playground, and volleyball right at the site. Spots are a little tight. Looks like they cater mostly to day use and corporate events during season. But they do take great care of the…
Private group campground with 7 sites. River access. Vault toilet, no water. Road noise during busy times can be a bit much. Beautiful views from camp. No cell service!

This a great campsite for quick access to lots of local hikes. Bathrooms were very clean and well-maintained. Campsites were also very clean. No trash and dumpsters were emptied. As of 5/22/21 all loops were open on a first come first serve basis. Rate is $24/night or $12/night if you have an…
This campground is great if you wanna get up to hurricane ridge for sunrise. The the closest campground. The spots felt a little too close together for me but that’s a personal thing. they have porter potty‘s set up. Behind them looks like a place for flushing toilets but it was all locked up.
My wife and I just got away for the day , and it was beautiful. We are going back very soon for a overnight , maybe stay a few nights. We will see how it goes.
