Grays Harbor County Fair Campground

County-managed fairgrounds camping provides a practical base for exploring western Washington, with full hookups accommodating RVs up to 36 feet. Sites cluster in four sections arranged around the main pavilion, though the layout requires some navigation to locate specific areas. Road noise from Elma McCleary Road affects the camping experience, and a neighboring race track operates Friday and Saturday evenings during season.

The campground office operates weekdays only, located upstairs in the main pavilion building. Cell coverage varies by carrier, with AT&T providing stronger signals than T-Mobile. Travel Inn RV Resort - KM Resorts sits less than a mile away for comparison shopping. Sites offer adequate spacing when occupancy remains low, though the fairgrounds layout creates closer proximity between some spots.

Description

There are 4 camping lots. If you stay overnight in a space that is not designated for camping, you will still be charged for camping there. So please stay in the spaces that are meant for that purpose.

Overnight - per space (hook-up, non-hook-ups or tent) - $35.00
Special Events (Fairgrounds will make determination) - $40.00
A bulk group camping rate may be negotiated in certain camping area

Fairly large, nice, and mostly empty CG

We are full-timers in a 36 ft Class A with a Cherokee Trailhawk tow and stayed in site 10 for 3 days in mid August. Our site was fairly level. The sites are fairly close together, but there were only a few other people camped and didn’t have anyone near us. I could not find a fairgrounds map online and the campgrounds are laid out a bit haphazardly. Sections A& B are immediately to the right as you pull in and Sections C& D are all the way around behind the pavilion. The office entry is not obvious, but it’s in front of the main pavilion and up the stairs. It is not open on the weekend, unless there is an event. The staff was very friendly and helpful. There is a fair bit of road noise from Elma McCleary Rd. There is also a race track next door, which has races every Friday and Saturday nights from what I saw online and they are rather loud. AT&T coverage good, with 1-2 bars of LTE and speeds up to 6 MB/s, but throughput did fluctuate a bit. T-Mobile coverage serviceable, with 1 bar of 4G/LTE and speeds up to 0.7 MB/s. We were able to get DISH coverage on all three western satellites at our site. There were 4 OTA channels to be had with our fixed omni antenna.
