Beautiful overnight on a river

Wife found this place on internet.
You pay a $5 “road use” fee to access the property. You drive down to a huge gravel bar solidly packed down. There are many sites right next to the Hoh river, and it’s beautiful.
We talked to some great other campers and had a peaceful stay.

Solo Female Traveler

After someone stole my original site at a campground, I stumbled across Allen’s (sand)bar. I was hesitant at first because it’s far back on someone’s property but I took a chance and found paradise! The water, the sunset, and a bunch of people minding their own business. I’m keeping this spot a secret, but incase you’re a SFT, I gotchu.

Details: you must be self contained (no tent camping) and you have to use the woods.

Nice stop

We only stopped for the night, but it was great to get out of the car and sleep in our tent it was only a 5$ fee, but for being on someone's property, it was nice and right next to a river. I would stay again

What a find!

We drove by a river that is a beautiful aqua color that caught our eye, looking down a ways we saw campers so we doubled back and found a private road that charges $5 to drive down/camp. Park right by a river, no amenities but beautiful scenery! So far, we couldn’t ask for better weather, temps in 50-60’s!

Riverside camping

We stayed here from Sunday, September 5th for 4 nights. Great private campground by the river. When we got in there was quite a few people camped there. By the last night there was only 3. You have to be self contained as there is no water, electricity or dump. Would definitely stay here again.
