Cabin Camp 5 was the last camp to be completed by the CCC and WPA. The camp offers the largest capacity (210 in summer, 104 in winter) due to the large dorm buildings and restrooms. This is also the only camp with heat, so this camp may be rented year-round. This is also the only camp to have an outdoor picnic pavilion located inside the camp. Cabin Camp 5 is set up in two units with cabins that sleeps 2 to 4 people and larger dorm buildings that sleep 24.

Directions
GPS apps dont always provide accurate directions to the cabin camps so follow these directions instead. From North & South: Use Interstate 95. Take exit 150. Continue west on Joplin Road for 5 miles. Turn right on Mawavi Road. From West: From the community of Independent Hill, use Joplin Road Highway 619 to approach the camp. Turn left at Mawavi Road. Mawavi Road is gravelled. In one-eighth of a mile, the road comes to a T intersection. Turn right to reach Cabin Camp 5. Drive 1/4 mile to the parking.
