The forested ridgeline country of George Washington National Forest holds this small spot amid the layered terrain between Short Horse Mountain and First Mountain, with the Massanutten South Trail accessible less than a kilometer away. Parking is limited to one or two vehicles — cars, SUVs, or trucks — with a snug fit, and the site offers two tent areas alongside an established fire ring. Cell signal is very weak here, making it a genuinely off-grid stop in the Virginia highlands.
