OHV enthusiasts will find multiple camping spots scattered across this forested ridge within Dixie National Forest. The US Forest Service manages this free dispersed area where campers can drive or walk to various sites with room for full-sized tents and campfires. Cell service reaches the area.
One camper noted ample space for setup but mentioned early morning ATV and dirt bike activity from nearby cabin owners who ride past camping locations at dawn. The ridge sits among dispersed areas around Dixie National Forest where pets are welcome and no reservations are required.
Description
Many people enjoy the solitude and primitive experience of camping away from developed campgrounds and other campers. Dispersed camping is the term used for camping anywhere in the National Forest OUTSIDE of a developed campground. Dispersed camping is free, therefore no services or facilities are provided; such as trash removal, tables, and fire pits. In some popular dispersed camping areas, camping is limited to designated sites only.
