Parunuweap Canyon

Accessible via 4WD vehicle from Elephant Cove, this dispersed camping area requires navigating sand hills before dropping into Parunuweap Canyon. The route crosses the riverbed multiple times, with campers finding numerous spots to set up along the lush canyon floor. Pets are not permitted at this location.

The trail provides access to a riparian environment where water flows seasonally through the canyon. Campers should plan for potential weather challenges and avoid solo camping, as the remote location can feel isolating during storms. Twin Hollows Campground offers a more developed alternative with established sites nearby.
