Wasatch National Forest's Millcreek Canyon holds free dispersed camping accessible only on foot, with two distinct setups along the Mt. Aire trail. About a third of a mile in, a few established spots include one large enough for three tents around a fire pit, plus smaller sites for one or two people. The trail sees steady foot traffic from runners through the day. A creek runs through the canyon, and the sites sit close to the trail. Campers wanting a roof overhead can check out the nearby Millcreek Canyon—Big Water Yurt. Dogs are welcome.
Description
Only backcountry camping is allowed in Millcreek Canyon. Camping must be at least 1/2 mile off the road and 200 feet from trails, developed areas and water. Check for any fire restrictions.
