Wonderful camping experience

Dark Sky Campground provides a unique camping experience from the start of your stay to the end. The owners have thought each detail through. You are welcomed by a host that is friendly and helpful. Your camping spot is private and clean with wonderful views of Utah. The campground amenities, like the laundry and the market, work on the honor system. The dog park worked well for us and gave our large dogs an opportunity to stretch their legs. Every Thursday evening the owners host a dinner for the campers. We enjoyed pizza and ice cream with a choice of beverages during our stay. The owners were readily available during the dinner and were eager to hear about your favorite experiences and gave great recommendations for more positive experiences to come. We are already thinking about another camping trip to Utah so that we can stay at Dark Sky again!

This place is a must if you’re nearby

This is my wife and I’s favorite campground of all time! It was truly and unique and amazing experience. Jeff, one of the owners, greeted us upon arrival and made sure we were taken care of. Each site has its own private patio and ours had a hammock, chairs, lounge chairs, and fire pit. Unlike most parks it was also very spacious. The bathrooms were excellent, clean, and had individual showers. The common area was very nice and new with many yard games and lounge areas. Also snacks and amenities available. Wi-Fi strength was good. They only thing we didn’t like was just staying one night.

Amazing views and wonderful host!

Great Campground, showers, laundry, small shop, jeeps, ebikes for rent, propane for sale on site, and more. Very friendly and helpful owner/managers. We plan to return and stay for a month.

Not like a typical RV Park

First, this RV park was very spacious. The layout was not like a typical RV parking lot. All the sites were pull throughs with plenty of space between each site. Felt more like a state campground. They had a cool outdoor covered common/seating area with fire pits. They also had food, drinks, and items for sale that you pay for with Venmo. They also had nice bathrooms with indoor and outdoor showers.

Peace and tranquility

Right off the highway so a little highway noise but not much. I normally don’t give a perfect rating without concrete pads but this is an exception. Fairly new campground with level gravel spots. Unique patio covers. Thursday night the owner and staff hosted pizza, soft drinks and beer in an outdoor patio area, equipped with two propane fireplaces. RV spot long enough for 44 foot Motorhome and Jeep tow without unhooking. Good full hookups. Beautiful scenery. Great place to mentally disconnect but they have good Wi-Fi for those who have to be connected. They rent Jeep’s and bikes for off roading. This is on our comeback list.

Great!

This place is a little pricey to be sure, but what you get compared to other campground in the same price point is well worth it! The campsites came with a gas ring and the camp hose brought up a tank of propane at no charge for use while we were there. The table and chairs at each site were a nice touch and the bathrooms were spa quality. Seriously better than many hotel bathrooms, private and clean. The laundry facility had modern washer and dryers and was on an honor system They have a great little camp store and hang out areas at the front. Night sky was amazing. We stayed here after a night of hiking in Zion and though we love to boondock, it was a real treat being able to come back here and be so comfortable!

This park is amazing. It’s spaced out enough for privacy and the beauty of the night sky will turn your spot into a planetarium. The owners are so friendly and actually gave us a ride to the town to watch the fireworks. You must rent their e-bikes for a fun adventure through the area. The best feature of the park is there super nice and chic bath house. It was a welcomed amenity that gave this place 5 stars!!

Oasis in the Mountains!

This is not your average campsite. The grounds are immaculate. They have limited spots so it's not overcrowded. Easy pull-through sites with shade structure and picnic table and full hookups. The amenities...OMG. A terrace is legit an outdoor living room with yard games, Berkey water, and a coffee/ice cream station (via Venmo!). Laundry (Venmo again...no change needed!), super helpful hosts and then there are the bath houses. Let's discuss: immaculate, modern, air-conditioned, body wash/shampoo, outdoor shower option (very private), and I think they are pumping gorgeously scented air into it. You may never leave. A short drive to Kanab grocery, gas, restaurants, etc. Views, like supremely gorgeous views, all around. We didn't even get to the jeep or bike rentals but plan to the next time we're there. Add this to your trip plan - you won't regret it!

We can’t say enough good things about this campground. We extended our stay here we enjoyed it so much!

Peaceful, serene place to view Sunsets! Hosts are fantastic and provided us great information on the area. We rented a Roxor from them for the day to go to Bryce Canyon. This was so much fun. Shower rooms are the ultimate spa experience. Wifi worked great. Socials every Thursday evening with food and drinks on a great patio area with Cornhole and firepits. Dish washing sink with hot water was a huge plus! Washers and dryers were in great condition. We appreciated that the honor system is still around! Kids loved the zipline and dig area. Fenced area for your four legged family!

Magical

We have not been able to stop talking about this place. As you arrive, it appears to be a generic, basic, gravel RV park in the middle of the desert. This could not be further from the truth. The sites are luxuriously spaced to allow for privacy and the ability to enjoy the experience in peace. The attention to detail is out of this world. There is no point in describing all the small things the owners have added to improve their guests' stay, but there are several notable items. First, and probably most impressive, are the appropriately-named Bath Suites that make you feel like you've entered a spa with heated floors and the option to shower outdoors. Second, there are so many spaces sprinkled throughout that present new - and breathtaking - views of the area. Third, the owners are available for anything from advice about local hiking to information about how to get around if you didn't bring an extra vehicle.  And, finally, the experience is simply perfectly quiet and serene.

Dark Sky Delivers

We visited the campsite in June which was super hot, but the campsite was perfect. We loved the space that we had between sites. Too many RV parks have you camping on top of each other, but this place gave plenty of room. They have a cute little dog park, a zip line for little kiddos, a dig site where you can dig for bones and other things, a terrace patio with places to sit and visit, showers, laundry, and options to rent jeeps or bikes onsite. The camp host, Rick, was very friendly and knowledgeable about the area.
