Visitors often highlighted plenty of dispersed sites with fire rings and beautiful ridge views. However, several guests reported problems regarding severe crowding and traffic, especially weekends.

Extremely Busy

Main road is dirt, was there on 6/28 weekend. No stop traffic!!! I'm full time rv'er. Never seen anything even close to this. If you want any quiet, don't come here! I will not be back here!!! You can't even walk down the road.

Nice place⁰

You have to look for secluded spot, I didn't find any till I walked down road. About 8000' up, nice and cool for summer. Can get crowded. People leave campers to keep spaces. But FService does check. Long drive in. 10$ for sites with bathroom, 0$ for dispersed.

Dispersed camping overlooking Currant Reservoir and Creek

Plenty of dispersed spots along the ridge road. Most have easy pull in access and fire rings. Beautiful views from multiple spots along the ridge but comes with the expected exposure to wind/sun.  More privacy for the spots further along the road some nestled in beautiful aspen groves. It is a great area. We camped overnight and fly fished the currant the next day. It was July 4 weekend but still not crowded.
