Fernwood Forest Campground is family owned and operated. Located in the beautiful Berkshires just off Route 8 in Hinsdale Massachusetts, it offers 44 tent and RV sites on 115 acres of natural woodlands adjacent to the Appalachian Trail. Area golf courses, Tanglewood, Mt Greylock, and other cultural attractions are easily accessible from the campground.

Campsites for RVs and tents may be reserved from May 1 through October 15. We also have seasonal availability for your affordable home away from home in the cool, clean mountain air.

Great Place

Clean, quiet and well maintained. Only downside is the showers are literally in the same space as the pooper stalls in the washroom. Washroom incredibly clean though.

I saw in a previous review a note that the firewood was very green, in our case it was wildly dry and fast burning. Guess it depends 😉

Wonderful place to stay

My wife and I along with our eldest daughter stayed at this campground. Marion - one of the owners - was very friendly and helpful with everything from the start of our stay. Gave us information and some interesting parks in the area.

On a side note the wood bundles were still some what green and made starting a fire difficult, but overall 5 out of 5 for us.

Wonderful!

Great family owned campground, polite, extremely clean bathrooms, small play areas, private and well maintained. Great area for hiking and breakfast etc!

Directions

Take Route 8 to Hinsdale, MA. Turn onto Michaels Road and proceed to the end. Turn left onto Longview Avenue. Drive about 200 feet and the campground sign and driveway is on the right
