        Nasty

Te office is nasty dirty has a moldy smell. The bathhouse has mold on shower curtains no soap to wash hands problem flushing toilet.  There was wires zip tied to lady's side . No security after hours and no way to get help after lady leaves at 5. The dog park had poop everywhere and other campers had dogs running off chain. No lights at night was very scary the back of park was awful.  Grass and weeds growing up needs a major clean up and maintenance!!! The playground is near drains that child could fall and very outdated and ran down. Wifi was very poor to say less

        Close Quarters

Broken Bow area is nestled in and around the beautiful lake that supports many types of activities. The grounds are wooded, hilly and forestry - the campground areas are set up to maximize the areas available for camping - thus they are all close quarters. Be aware, there are 2 separate camping areas with 2 separate entrances and live help was not available - at least when we were there. The facilities are clean and modern but not centrally located within the camping areas.

        East Texas at its best!

One the prettiest state parks we have had the pleasure of visiting. It is nestled back in a cove by the lake and far away from the hustle of the large and small cities and towns. Quiet, peaceful and beautiful.

        Pretty but loud

The facilities were great. Clean and well kept. The site that we stayed at (#34) was too close to the main road and the noise from the cars was so loud, which led to an awful nights sleep. Also there was a cat (seemed like a camp cat) that roamed around all night and that freaked out my dog. The lake itself was fantastic and otherworldly. Absolutely beautiful in early November. Definitely gonna visit again but will not camp here.

        Noisy

It is a nice campground, but there were lots of gunshots in the area and the spots are pretty close together. It is nice that it has full hookups, but my dump is towards the front of my RV and the dump site was in the very back of my space

        Incredible location!

I've never seen anything so unique and beautiful as Caddo Lake!! Like being in a movie! The State Park campground is immaculate, staff and hosts are super friendly. Fishing, kayaking, canoeing, boat tours, walking/hiking trails, awesome! Nearby historical town of Jefferson was a quaint day trip or artists, shops and eateries. What a trip! Can't wait to revisit Caddo Lake and all its beauty!

        Great State Park

The River front sites are the best with FHU's. Taking advantage of the river is the most popular thing to do. There is a golf course nearby too. On site museum at the park visitor's center. I enjoyed the Beaver Creek hike. My biggest complaint would be they put the campsites directly on the river, so if you want to walk along the river, you feel like your in someone's site.

        Beautiful Park

We loved this park. It was beautiful, but the signs were a bit confusing and we came in the dark so we parked where we thought our spot was. Well, it wasn’t our spot and we had to move at 8:30 at night. There’s also no service (at least for T-Mobile). Loved the trails and the restaurant.

        Fall camping

We camped at Fern Circle. It was a lot people going to the bathrooms. Too touristy they also need to be educated about copperheads in the area . Watched a lot of people walk there in the dark without lights with their kids. Found a copperhead near campsite 12 A lady almost stepped on it and didn’t know what that it was poisonous or a copperhead. Other than that we had fun!

Perfect place for a weekend getaway!

Went right after Memorial Day weekend and basically had the campground to ourselves. Campsite 64 had a large flat surface to accommodate a six person tent (North Face Wawona 6) with a vestibule. Great place for a weekend getaway from the DFW area ~3 hr drive). Overall the park has nice amenities, easy hikes, and great canoeing-kayaking!

We stayed in the Acorn campground right by the river. Clean and well stocked bathrooms, level campsites, and fantastic views. The trees make you think you’re in Colorado. Only thing you need to know is the flood sirens do go off sometimes and are VERY loud.

        Nice Park Overall

We are from TX and came to Arkansas for a wedding. This was my first out of state, state park so keep that in mind. The sites are clean and well cared for. There is exactly ONE pull through site that we were fortunate enough to get. The rest are on a tight road. The highway runs right by the pull through site so the road noise can be loud at times. I recommend staying by the lake if you don’t need a pull through site. There are 2 walking trails and a few playgrounds. No fishing off the pier. The lake is BEAUTIFUL, we saw an alligator (I was quite excited about that). The dump station is a pretty tight squeeze but doable if your site doesn’t have a dump (ours did). ATT cell service SUUUUCKS here. I repeat, it suuuuuucks lol! Picked up 4 TV channels on the 1 rainy day we had. All in all, I would stay here again, just wouldn’t compare it to TX State Parks, because well…. I learned this weekend everything is indeed bigger in Texas.

Definitely not a restful place to spend any time

Electric hook up does not work. Water outlet faces directly upward and requires a hose to access the water. It’s almost impossible to simply fill a kettle, as the water shoots straight up. Traffic noise is constant and LOUD.

        Beyond Excellent staff

5 stars based on staff alone.  i feel horrible that i can't remember the gentleman's name.  we called on a saturday evening, got the voicemail and left a message.  within 30 minutes he called us back.  we told him we were just looking for an overnight stay that night.  we have a 40ft toyhauler + truck = 60 ft and would love a pull thru site.  it sounds like he actually drove to the campground to verify everything.  called us back again and booked us exactly what we wanted.  site was easy to find in the dark.  pull thru sites seem a bit tight, but worked fine.  we left at 8am so we only saw the very front part of the campground.  seems a little older, but nice and would stay there again.
