Mount Pleasant KOA

Just off Interstate 30, Mount Pleasant KOA sits on 15 acres near lake country in East Texas. The campground accommodates RVs up to 80 feet with full hookups across pull-through and back-in sites, though reviewers note the sites sit close together.

The smaller park size creates a quieter atmosphere compared to larger KOA locations, as one camper observed. Staff receive consistent praise for their helpfulness, with multiple reviewers mentioning friendly check-ins and assistance with extending stays. The facility maintains clean restrooms and showers, with updated infrastructure throughout the property. WiFi coverage can be spotty in some areas.

Beyond standard amenities, the campground features a pool, game room, and pond for recreation. "Pool, game room, & pond! Wonderful hosts are very friendly & helpful," notes one visitor. The location provides easy highway access for travelers, with ice availability being the main service gap mentioned in reviews.

Campers wanting more space between sites might consider Twin Lakes Resort a few miles northeast for a different lakeside experience.

Convenient Stay

We showed up around 8:00 and got the 1 tent site with no water or no electricity. It was $28 to stay here. The men’s room was locked for some reason and the interstate nearby is pretty loud. It’s a convenient and safe place to stay for the night while we drive down i20.

Clean and friendly staff

We only stayed one night at a pull-thru site but the campground was clean and we really appreciated the nice fully grassed dog park for our pups to run around.

Little tight

Nice little park with pull through and full hook up. Only thing negative was that sites were very close together.

Very Convenient

Right off I-30. Checking in was a breeze, the lady was friendly and helpful. Nice that it’s a smaller park and more quiet than in Alabama. Only issues was the lack of ice, and poor WiFi.
