    Welcome to our family farm

Just 30 minutes from Houston our property is conveniently located off Highway 90

We offer a cover RV space

The shelter is 20 feet wide by 60 feet deep and 20 feet tall

The approach to the space is straight and level and we have plenty of room to drop your trailer or vehicle.

A water connection, 110 v and 50 amp RV outlet are located inside the enclosure

We are a working farm and we ask that you not enter the animal enclosures and under no circumstances should you trust the goats. The horse is also pretty shady…

Equine Accommodations are available upon request

      Whites County Park Campground

Free place to rest when driving on 10

Easy to get to, we were the only camper here. Some fishermen down on the water during the day but we were the only campers. Our 42’ 5th wheel fit nicely on the gravel patch by the cement picnic table. Only rules are to register (info on the sign, free but you have to call the number) and don’t park on the grass (there were some day use people parked on the grass but they want campers on the gravel) - can’t beat it for free.

      Fun outdoors area

Pretty big place with lots of trees. It’s a large open area, but it’s usually not busy in the wintertime. Nice place to go fishing there’s a small doc

      Perfect stay for camping (tent)

I got the camping permit just by calling the phone number at the entrance, they provide me an email to sent my driver license and car type. That’s it, they sent me back the permit. Everything is free. There are restrooms and showers. Calm and chill place to sleep. Fishing and camping, that’s the vibe always. Great place.

      Lots of trees

I love all the trees although it's not great if you're trying to charge up your solar panel. There is a small neighborhood nearby so you will hear kids playing. Otherwise it's very peaceful, we had the whole place to ourselves.

      Nice Place

Nice place for overnighting. Or camp for the 3 day limit. Nice clean park. Sites have concrete picnic tables. But bring a fly swatter for the mosquitoes. A couple got into my home on wheels and when I killed them they left a big bloodstain. Otherwise not a bad place. Is there is a shell gas station across the street for food and guess. They did have 2 bathroom houses only one of them was clean. No showers. There were water spickets all over the place. I don't know if it's potable or not. It was dry camping so I already came prepared. You do need a permit for 3 day stay limit. You can obtain one by going on the website and calling and talk to Brandy she will email you one. This is a County park.

      The Preserve RV Resort

      Level spots lots of room

We have enjoyed our stay at the preserve! Have 3 little boys who enjoy fishing and they have plenty of creeks and ponds near campsites; it isn’t the most luxurious parks but if your looking for a state park feel this place is a home run!

      SAM HOUSTON (Houston/Conroe/Huntsville Area)

Pond, Swimming, Trails, Shelters, this State Park has it all!

Campgrounds have a variety of amenities to choose from, including screened shelters, which are great if you get caught in a Texas sized downpour or if the mosquitoes are particularly aggressive, a pond with optional row boat rentals, and swimming spot. There isn't much variation in the trail terrain, though they may cross a stream here and there and have a good deal of tree cover from that hot TX sun. Overall, a great spot that is not too far out of the city to make a nice weekend getaway in the forest.
