Hat Creek RV Park

Hat Creek RV Park provides full hookup sites with electric, water, and sewer connections in a straightforward dirt lot layout near Big Spring's industrial area. The park caters primarily to oil field workers, creating a quiet atmosphere focused on practical overnight stays rather than recreation. Sites include pull-through options in the back section, with basic amenities like showers, laundry facilities, and a small store stocking snacks and supplies.

The laundry facility features dedicated machines for animal bedding and work clothes, while the office provides quarter exchange and free WiFi access. A small playground occupies part of the grounds. Cell reception works well for major carriers, though campers should prepare for goat head thorns that can affect pet paws and equipment in this area.

Good if you're passing through

Super bare bones RV park, just a dirt lot with rows of RV spots. It’s right next to an oil facility so there are a lot of workers that stay in this park. We stayed here because we needed showers and laundry and the price with Passport America was good atv$17.50. Even the full price of 35 is decent. We got FHU and a pull through site in the overnight area way in the back.

There’s a little playground here, nice showers, and a nice laundry facility. I liked that the laundry had dedicated animal bedding/ oil rig machines so we could wash our dog bedding guilt free. Machines are coin operated, you can get quarters in the office. The office has a nice little store as well, with snacks and beer and basic supplies. There’s free wifi as well.

Definitely not a fabulous place to come for fun, but if you’re racing through Texas like we were and need a place to stop for the night this is a great place for it. It’s nice and quiet because everyone is here just to work, it seems. There were many bees and flies clamoring to get into the RV when we stayed here in early December. Good cell reception for attv& verizon. Our poor dogs’ paws were covered in goat heads- we will be buying some dog boots!
