Mountain View Galore!

Back-in site, FHUs, concrete pad, some shade. Fire pit and picnic table at each site, ours is located behind our site. There are 2 playgrounds, Disc golf course, volleyball area, a beautiful lake(with rental paddle boats for $14 hr) We Bought fire wood and Disc Golf sets, at the campground store. Clean with coded entry Bathhouse, by one of the playgrounds. There is an 18 hole Disc Golf we will be playing. We Love the views, and are looking forward to trying out the 5 trails this weekend! The lake is beautiful with geese and ducks hanging out! We used our Starlink over 100Mps, and our T-Mobile had fair reception. There are also 2 playgrounds at the SP!

Nice Campground

Very nice scenery, appears to be well-maintained, and easy to get two from I 75. I only used it as an overnight stop while traveling further south.

Well Maintained State Park

Well maintained, easy access from I75, full hook up with good cell service. Dog friendly, quiet and patrolled by state park rangers, and Jellico police.

The picnic tables and fire rings are oddly placed at some campsites. Camp store was only open Sat & Sun. Jellico is a very small town, so if you need supplies it is only a short trip to Williamsburg, KY

Overnight stopsit

Great campground. Easy to get to from I 75. Sites on the water have nice large pads for easy to back into. Showe house was clean and recently renovated. Large walking path and places for your dog to exercise. Loved watching the ducks swim near our campsite

Very nice State Park camping

This is our second stay here and we really enjoy this state park. The sites are concrete and level for the most part. Sewer connection is in a wonky location on quite a few sites. Water connection is further from the sites than normal on several spots. Nice lake with paddle boat and kayak rentals and fishing. Nice playgrounds for the kids. Bathhouse is extremely nice for a state park and better than most commercial campgrounds.

Not bad, needs more cleaning

My site was covered in dried mud, cigarette butts all over. They don't seem to clean the sites much. Showers/restrooms need better cleaning. They allow local traffic to cut thru park, I can't imagine why, and it's fairly non-stop all day. Never seen a park do that. Speed limits (5MPH) rarely followed. Fire pits and picnic tables oddly located about 25' from the back of your pad. Sewer/water can be a reach. (I needed 20' of sewer hose, 25' of water.) Electric is right on rear corner of pad, driver side.

The good: Sites are concrete pads, level. Staff friendly. Saw rangers often, but they never warn people to slow down. Nice lake. Multiple playgrounds for kids. Paved walking trails. Paddle boat rental. ($10/hr). Plenty of room between sites, easy back in. Firewood avail.

Pretty good campground overall

It's a pretty good campground overall, stayed there 2 or 3 times with my son's Cub Scout/Boy Scout pack. Generally it's a pretty quiet campground that doesn't see quite as much camping as you might expect from a state park. It's got a tiny gift store so it would be recommended that you either bring your own food and drinks or you can take a ride to either Williamsburg or LaFollette to stock up on items for your stay.

Great campground

My wife and i both really enjoyed our time here. Our site was huge and we didn't feel like we were close to our neighbors, as there was plenty of space between our campers. We also loved the cement pads and the extension for lounging instead of the grass. Lots to do here and staff are very friendly. Would definitely recommend as we will be back. 👍

Perfectly Fine

This was a very basic campground. You're piled in on top of one another, but that's really the only knock on it. Good playground options for kids and it was very clean. Not much to do outside of the park.

Cute and Crowded

Super fun little state park. It was very busy and kids everywhere. The spaces had some shade but not everywhere. We were next to the old playground but the new one was very nice. The park is small with a few hikes. Did one hike and it was overgrown and buggy. More sitting at campground than activities.

Beautiful Area

This campsite was a lot closer to town than expected. The campsites themselves were very clean and well kept. Beautiful views. It’s also a public park area, so there was some through traffic, but they’re not supposed to come through the campground. We overall really enjoyed this place and would visit again anytime of the year. Very pet friendly!!

Beautiful Park

This is a very well maintained park and campground. Sites are all concrete pads and are level for the most part. Bathhouses are extremely nice and kept clean. One way Loop style layout with a fairly narrow road. Sites were roomy enough and well kept. This is a great campground for quiet relaxing. Playgrounds for the kids and a small stocked lake for fishing and paddle boats for rental. We will definitely return here.

Great for passing through

A very peaceful and clean campground. Cheap with full hookups. There are some nice walking trails, lake for fishing, and paddle boat rentals. However that's about all there is to do. I couldn't pick up any tv or radio stations at all. Also, in the nicest way possible, the town of Jellico is pretty rough. As in it looks kinda run down and some questionable characters walking around town. However it's not far from Kentucky Splash Waterpark and the Colonel Sanders Museum.

What’s not to like?

We have stopped here several times on our way to/from Ohio from the South.

As others have mentioned, all the sites have concrete pads (fairly level) with full hookups. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Nice view of lake and some shade trees. Perfect for our truck camper. All for a price of less than $30 (with senior discount).

We’ll certainly be back.

Happy Camper

This was our first trip in our new camper. I chose this park because it was close to Knoxville (1hr). We chose this specific site because it was nicely located by the pond. The only downside on the sites along the water is there are not many trees to provide coverage. There are several trees planted so I would say in a few years there will be more shade. All other sites provide shade and tree coverage. Paddle boats, kayaks, and paddle boards are available for rental at a very low price. Sites are large and nicely maintained which was nice for my first time towing the trailer. By far the bath house was the nicest and cleanest I have ever seen.

Great campsite with hookups

Campsite has all concrete pads, running water and electric. Still has plenty of space to put up your tent. Bathrooms and showers are clean. There is also a playground.

Beautiful

A peaceful destination. Wildlife Greenery and the opportunity to paddle on the water. Plenty of ducks roaming around. Comfortable bathrooms and showers. More than enough tables and campfires. And groundskeepers keeping the park clean

  • The drive into the park. Reminds me of parts of Hawaii.
