Never again

Recently stayed at silver top while we went to a dog show over the weekend. He approved our pets as we did not allow them on furniture. We were honestly barely at the cabin. When we were the dogs did stay in their kennels. The shows ran past 8pm and we were there the entire time. Just to be extra cautious we brought our own bedding to completely change out in case dogs accidentally jumped on the furniture. I brought all my own towels, extras and even extra blankets. Which turned out to be a great decision because he hyped up his hotels so much with the space for dogs to run and play etc.

The grass was tall when we arrived and it was an entire SWAMP. there was absolutely no way to potty a dog without getting their feet filthy. We did our best to sweep up the excess dirt from dog paws before we checked out. He left us a bad review after we left saying it took his cleaning crew 4.5 hours(i can deep clean my entire 3300 SQ ft house in that time frame. There is absolutely no way unless they took a 3.5 hour nap), saying we left muddy towels(NEVER touched a dog. One towel got stepped on coming inside from muddy feet, I assume this one paw print is his entire problem on his$2 Walmart towel)(making note that he offered dog towels when we messaged him to book...we didn't receive any. We even asked beforehand to make sure they would leave their old towels he personally offered to leave), complained about dog hair and kibble being everywhere(it wasn't... We literally cleaned and swept). He complained about having to do laundry. Isn't that expected after EVERY guest??

All of this complaint is just over the owners attitude. I haven't even gotten to the cabin.

Everything inside the cabin is EXTREMELY cheap. The mattress is thin, hard, and uncomfortable. The air conditioner is loud and made a screeching noise the entire first night, all the furniture is super cheap, there's minimal counter space and storage, the wifi kept going out and we had no service otherwise, and the water pressure was so low none of us had a good shower. Overall these are just cheap Lowe's sheds stuck on a swamp. One star.

Looks Intimidating When You First Pull Up

However the rooms on the inside are quaint and homey. They all come equipped with a coffee maker and retro fridge. In fact the whole cabin is done in a retro theme. Brass rotary telephones adorn homemade wooden furniture. This place is it!
