Stayed at campsite #9

Cool spot right on the river. Disappointed in how some people don’t take care of these spots. In getting settled in I stepped in a pile human feces … people need to respect LNT guidelines better!

Scary

Nothing but weird Christmas lights and Christian retreat stations. Felt like we were in a horror movie. After driving all night and arriving at midnight decided best to get out of here. Settled for a parking lot instead of death

This made me sad.

I live not far from here and we camped at site #3 we picked up so much trash in and around our site that it was sad.

Nice place

Stayed here for two nights in late March. The area recently received a lot of rain so the creek was pretty high and fast flowing. There were several marked campgrounds along the creek and a small site further down the road for $15 a night. I stayed at site 4. Sites were very spaced out and mine was fairly clean when I arrived. My only complaint was there were cars frequently driving by throughout the night on the dirt road. Other than that, really enjoyed this place.

Beautiful, private, peaceful

These campsites are extremely spread out, allowing for private camping. No hookups, but a majority of the 14 sites are on the creek itself. Could not recommend Citico Creek more.

Beautiful & pristine mountain creek with free camp spots!

This campground is great for being right next to great day hikes and easy access to Citico Creek, which was just across the gravel road from our site. However- be aware that many of the sites are free, which draws some of East Tennessee's most, ahem, interesting inhabitants to the area! Being a native, it didn't shake me too much.. But if you don't want to mingle with rednecks, this may not be for you :)
