Table Rock State Park is known for being a perfect glimpse into the scenic bliss that South Carolina's Highway 11 is known for. Most prominent to the park is the towering mountain Table Rock, where the park earns its name. This also serves as a backdrop for the 3,000 acre park, and its numerous camping facilities. Below this section of the Blue Ridge Mountains, visitors can enjoy Table Rock State Park's cabins and campground, as well as lakes and various hiking trails located within.
The Table Rock State Park hiking trails weave through mountain streams, babbling brooks, and rushing waterfalls to the tops of Pinnacle and Table Rock mountains. That said, while the park is well known for its natural features, Table Rock also has its place in history.
For example, the park’s hiking trails host the access point for the 80-mile Foothills Trail, one of the most famous in the Midwest. Hikers often use this trail to travel through the extensive network of SC state parks. These trails date all the way back to the Pioneers who would use them as trade routes and for homesteading. In fact, many of the Table Rock State Park cabins and other structures built by the Civilian Conservation Corps remain standing and are on the National Register of Historic Places.
This park is unique in that it is one of only 16 South Carolina state parks built by the Civilian Conservation Corps. Moreover, there is even a historic CCC-built Lodge available for weddings, receptions, meetings and other special occasions. Hartwell Lake is a man-made lake bordering Georgia and South Carolina on the Savannah, Tugaloo and Seneca Rivers. The dam and lake area boasts 8 campgrounds and 11 day-use facilities that are operated by the US Army Corps of Engineers. The Hartwell Project was originally authorized for hydro-power, flood control, and navigation. Later, recreation, water quality, water supply and fish and wildlife management were added. Surrounding vegetation allows for plenty of shade, and the 962 miles of shoreline provide numerous swimming beaches, picnic areas and boat ramps.

The site was big with lot of more plus private. The bathroom was clean and showers were hot.
I stayed October 2022. My first time at this site. At that time, it wasn't under new ownership yet. The staff was very accommodating and friendly. There was some renovations being done. But, all in all, I found it to be clean and stocked. Looking forward to my next visit.
We stayed for memorial day weekend in one of the rvs they had for rent. Had such a great time I went and bought a camper and have plans to go back already! My husky had a blast, as did the humans.
We had a great experience. Space was easy to get the camper backed into and spaces were far enough apart for small kids to have room to play without bothering other campers. Only concern was the spot we chose was on an exposed point on the lake and was very windy. Would probably be great on a 90 degree summer day but was very cold when the temps dropped into the 40s on our last day.
Foothills was great clean grounds friendly guest great views pleasant atmosphere and privacy when needed I defiantly will be back thanks everyone and staff.

I stayed here many times as a student at Clemson. Only a 45 minute drive. The cabins are amazing. Very clean as well.
Me and a friend came camping here this second weekend in January. The campground itself was well maintained and the hook ups, dump station and bathhouses were easy to find and use. We had only 2 complaints, the gate to get in closes at 10pm, unfortunately I85 was shut down on our way up so our 3 hr drive became 6hrs. We did not make it before the gate closed and had to stay at Walmart. No code no exceptions. Secondly, there are no trashcans anywhere, on the grounds or in the bathhouses. The trash dump is in a completely different part of the park. It was inconvenient with picking up after my dog. Besides those two things, beautiful lake camping with affordable campsite prices!
My new favospot. The bathrooms and showers are very clean and at night it’s really quite. Make sure to bring your own firewood and there isn’t much laying around to pick up but overall a fantastic place.

This site is a little more woodsy than lake. Also the most sloped on the loop. The other sites have been leveled a little bit this one hasn't.
We did a company retreat at the Yak Eco Camp and were amazed at how private the location was. What's more, it was so expensive around town and at tourist traps, we were happy to have the property to retreat to and have an HQ for our entire group. The host mentioned many more amenities coming to the property that will surely make this the most desirable glamping spot for all mountain bikers, hikers, etc. in the area. They're adding a huge sauna, cold shower and much more to cater to all ages.
We got to whole campground to ourselves. The pond is so amazing and the owner (Kim) mentioned an eco friendly sauna and water trampoline coming soon. Best deal in Brevard!!

Stayed here for 2 weeks in January at the White Oaks Campground, not Loop A. Table Rock is about 10 minutes east of Keowee Toxoway State Park, and probably 20 minutes from Devil's Fork. Nearest town with major stores is Pickens, SC. Greenville is about 45 minutes.

White Oaks is much further into the park than Loop A, so you'll actually drive by the main trail entrances. Getting into my site (84) was fine, but be advised there's a mix of tent, small trailer, and larger sites. Some of sites looked under construction when I was there.

Cell service is one of the main reasons you'd want to choose White Oaks instead of the main campground. When I drove though, Loop A had no service on Verizon. Somehow, just down the road, White Oaks had fast 5G. Starlink could connect, but obviously wasn't reliable because of the dense forest.

I stayed in site #84 which was definitely one of the better ones available. Picnic table and firepit faced a wooded area with more privacy than some other sites. Pad backs up to a very pretty creek - there's a random road behind it but barely noticeable.
*Facilities*
Restrooms/shower was fairly modern and very clean - hot water available. Dump station and laundry is located at the main campground, not at White Oaks.
From the moment we arrived at the campground the manager "Larry" ( a workamper) signed us in, show us our site on Wagging Tail Dr. We arrived on their opening weekend the Owners provided BBQ meal and live music "Jose Wales" band. It was a wonderful time. As for the "Dog Retreat part - 18 acres of wonder open areas fenced in to keep you furry friends from running away, there is agility park, puppy park, the main dog park, a private park (single or you can invite), a Lure run, a Ball Park, and a Pond for those watery dogs.
Price for Fire wood - a little expensive and 10 lbs of Ice was reasonable. There are fully fenced sites, a couple of sites with a fenced area. The larges rig I saw in there was a Solitude at 38 ft.
Over all, if you want the peace and quiet in the North Carolina foot hills with your furry friend and have a good time. This is the place to be.
One other note: It is the only park in NC that is a dedicated dog campground.

The state park website mentions that rigs over 40ft will have trouble. I think 40ft is conservative, but 50ft+ could definitely be problematic. My truck plus trailer is 43ft and it was tight but manageable. The problem area for larger rigs will likely be the curves before and after the dump station/restrooms (sharp turns plus elevation drop). It will be difficult to fit in dump station area with a larger rig as well.

Verizon 5G was blazing fast here on my Pepwave - literally over 100mbps download. Starlink was able to connect, but obviously wasn't very useable due to trees.

I stayed in #3 which was definitely one of the better sites there. Easy back in with very private views looking out towards Lake Keowee & Jocassee. In summertime you probably won't be able to see much with the foliage. Used levelling blocks, but it wasn't bad.

Restrooms were older but clean. Showers had hot water. As mentioned, dump station is right in front of bathrooms. No laundry.

Beautiful quiet peaceful
Stayed during the coldest of cold days in Dec. ‘22. That didn’t take away from this campgrounds beauty. It appears that this was a former state park but has now been bought by KOA. As far as Holiday KOAs are concerned, this one is up there. I walked the campground and there doesn’t seem to be a bad spot. The views are magnificent. Would love to visit during warmer months to take advantage of the lake.
Truly a dog-oriented campground, there are tons of activities and plenty of room to roam for the dogs.
No camper? No problem. They have campers, yurts and tiny cabins for rent.
Everyone is extremely nice and the grounds and facilities (bathrooms, laundry, dog wash, etc) are very clean.
Nice, quiet campground. Has fire pit and access to running water . No picnic tables and has vaulted toilets . But very nice place to get away from stress of life . Definitely will be back

There is a wonderful Trail right beside the tent site in the loop and it will take you down to a private Beach area that overlooks the lake and it is especially beautiful at sunset. Very quiet and well kept. Love the atmosphere. The showers were always clean and kept up nicely. Always hot water. The Rangers there couldn't be more helpful. It's definitely a good place to get away from your everyday life but not so far away that you can't have the amenities that make life comfortable. We go back every chance we get!
Beautiful playgrounds for kids. They have a beach area at the day use area. The park ranger was super friendly and helpful. Our fifth wheel was a lil bigger than site but they were very accommodating.
