Clean quiet campground

This is a nice clean quiet campground. It's a great stop if you're doing rails to trails or swimming at the beach up the road. (Note to get to both places you'll need to drive). We went on a weekday and it wasn't crowded but I've heard on the weekends it gets packed. There are two sets of swings and one slide. The bathrooms have showers and were clean. Some of the spots are smaller and right next to each other (down by the creek and up around top). But spots 68,69,70 are prime. We were in spot 75 right next to the bridge and not ideal

Nice Place

The campground is beautifully kept. Bathrooms and sites were nice. Some sites are alittle closer personally esp in the dog area. It was extremely buggy when we went. Our dogs wouldn't come out of the camper because there was no relief. It was the height of rattle snake season. A site near ours and very close to the playground had a rattler under their camper. Alittle too close for comfort. Otherwise, campers, rangers and hosts were nice to deal!

Peaceful and Serene

In my opinion, this is one of the best state parks in the state. The sites are a decent distance apart with only electric available. Water is available at the entrance and at several different sites throughout the campground. Have stayed in several different sites with #4 or #5 being my favorites. As weekends are very busy, we use this campground during weekdays.

Close to rails to trails, quiet and peaceful

We go here every year. Electric hook up, and very nice tent sites along creek. Does get crowded on nice weekends but mostly families. A short drive down to pine creek rails to trails. Beautiful ride through creek canyon. Nice little store at entrance, and several hikes from park.

Small campground big sites

This is very rustic with electric options which is nice. The campsite we were at was very large probably better for a trailer but we enjoyed the space with our tent. We stayed at site 3 which was across the drive from a bathhouse which also had a shower, nothing fancy just a shower but a shower none the less. We really enjoyed our time here and it’s about halfway in between the PA Grand Canyon and Williamsport. We ended doing both during the LLWS.

Wonderful little State Park

Beautiful setting for camping along a stream and the mountains. We try to get here a couple times a year. Electric only but water fill up is in convenient locations. Dump station is provided. Well maintained and clean. So many outdoor activities abound. The Mid State hiking trail comes right through the Campground and there are numerous other trails within the park. There is a lake for swimming, kayaking and fishing. Minutes away from Big Pine Creek and additional swimming, boating and fishing opportunity. A world class rails to trails biking and hiking trails has numerous access points close by. Your in walking distance to Happy Acres Restaurant & Bar. Enjoy a meal, snack, ice cream cone or an adult libation. They also have a well stocked camp store and a game room. Very affordable camp rates.
