This is very rustic with electric options which is nice. The campsite we were at was very large probably better for a trailer but we enjoyed the space with our tent. We stayed at site 3 which was across the drive from a bathhouse which also had a shower, nothing fancy just a shower but a shower none the less. We really enjoyed our time here and it’s about halfway in between the PA Grand Canyon and Williamsport. We ended doing both during the LLWS.
Excellent campground! The lots are very big and plenty of space. Everything is clean bathrooms showers hot and cold and the bathrooms/bathhouses are climate controlled so your not jumping onto a cold toilet in the morning or jumping out of a hot shower to cold concrete bathroom. The beach is nice big and beautiful also have a water trampoline out a ways from the shore to jump on or off of. Not sure how deep it is out there but I couldn't touch bottom but nor did I jump off but my kids did they are 4 & 5 but had puddle jumpers on. They also have a mini store for all your necessities from mustard, ketchup, tent stakes, tarps, and of course beer. Also have a mini concession stand in store with hot dogs and stuff but also a game room with pool tables arcade games. Also had a bingo night will were are up there and let us know that the football game would be on the big screen if we wanted to watch which would be nice if I was a Packers fan. The only thing I did not like is they were pricey $38 a night but soon realized why they have water and electricity's every site available which is nice but not necessary for us. Definitely be coming back here we had fun.
Very big place they claim 600 sites and I counted 5 restrooms and only 2 restrooms had flush toilets for 600 sites that's crazy. The bathrooms were always busy. The amenities were great pool, free mini golf, basketball courts, playgrounds, numerous beaches on the lake. But sites are very small and crowded RVs backed a couple feet from our tent with A/C running all night that was nice. Can't really ride your bikes through the campground too much traffic. And the electric sites only accommodate RVs they make you purchase an adapter to use for tents crazy! And we bought a Shepler's ferry pass for the weekend and when we called to get a shuttle they said they can't get into the campground Mill Creek doesn't allow them in there because they own the Star Line ferry so we had to walk from our sites to the front gate to get on our shuttle which is a pain after walking the island the entire day. Seems a little petty and cheap but understandable I guess. When I go camping I go to get away from people not pack into a small area with a lot of people. I mean it has numerous things to do and you can rent bikes but too many people here for sure.
Big and busy place. I came on a rainy week so it’s a little mixed review. I am a tent camper so I like a decent lot and I’m currently at lot 82 and it’s big but there is a large mud pit in the middle so we have limited space to put our tent. We ended up putting it on a hill a bit because we knew it would rain so it would wash pass our tent instead of inside it. But that hill backs up to the restrooms which have spot lights on them throughout the night not very good for napping. But get through that the first night and wake up to the cleaning crew lead blowing the sidewalk around the restroom at 7:00 a.m. seriously! But most sites I’ve seen around here are not tent friendly this is definitely to big of a campground for me lots of traffic on crampground roads. Might come back but not at that site.
