Quiet and Safe

Rest stop areas can always be intimidating but this place was perfect. It’s tucked away just enough to be safe, comfortable, and quiet.

Quiet and just off the 97

We stayed here one night to break up a long drive. Following the coordinates given took us down the wrong road, but there are plenty of signs for the sno-park for those who pay attention. There are two large lots and at the end of July we were one of five cars for the night. There are also two pit toilets, picnic tables, and a dump station! This quiet spot just off the 97 made continuing our drive the next morning smooth and the cute chipmunks in the morning we’re a bonus :)

Great spot just north of Crater

Large parking lots, very level and a nice distance from 97 off a paved road. Any rig can get here.

Great boondocking location

All of Oregons Sno-parks are rest areas in the summer. We had left from Bend, OR, and were looking for a place to spend the night. This Sno park is a large loop, with two very large parking lots. Along the outer edges of the parking lot, there are huge, marked spots to park. Some had picnic tables. Our next day was to Crater Lake, which was only an hour away.
