A long, bumpy gravel road leads to Digit Point Campground on the shore of Miller Lake, tucked into the forested terrain of Winema National Forest in Crescent, Oregon. The campground runs from Memorial Day through September and accommodates both tent campers and RVs up to 33 feet, with electric and water hookups available along with a dump station. Sites are well-spaced, each with a picnic table and fire ring, and the layout gives the place room to breathe even during busy summer weekends.
Water access is a consistent theme in camper reports. Many sites back directly to the lake, though reviewers note the drop from site to shoreline can be steep. Fishing, kayaking, and boating are the primary draws on Miller Lake, and Allan L. notes that "fishing is good after restocking." Bird watching has also come up as a worthwhile activity. Cell service is unreliable here. Campers who want to stay connected should plan accordingly, while those looking for a break from connectivity may count that as a feature.
One practical note worth heeding: mosquitoes are reportedly aggressive. Reviewers strongly recommend applying repellent before stepping out of the vehicle. Drinking water and toilets are on-site, and the facility has been described as well-maintained. Campers exploring camping near Winema National Forest have additional choices in the surrounding area, including Corral Springs Campground roughly seven miles east for a different setting.
