Captain Tuckers Quarters - Private Campground

Reservations available for $20 per night, Captain Tuckers Quarters operates as a private farm sanctuary with a single RV site offering water and electric hookups. The campground sits on open terrain near a lake, accessible by standard vehicle with road access noted by multiple visitors.

The site positions campers directly adjacent to rescue animals including chickens, goats, and a miniature donkey named Andy. Reviewers consistently mention the farm's cleanliness and the owners' hospitality, with fresh eggs sometimes provided from on-site chickens. A large fenced dog area allows pets to roam off-leash safely. The rooster begins crowing around 4 AM according to camper reports.

"No smells and extremely clean," notes Denine, describing the animal quarters near the camping area. Wildlife includes ducks, geese, and cats that roam the property. A porta potty serves as the restroom facility, with no dump station available on-site.

Many campers appreciated the exceptionally kind hosts and unique farm sanctuary experience with rescue animals. The site location next to animal enclosures created mixed reactions - some found it charming while others considered it too close for comfort.

Unique and peaceful

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our 2 night stay here.  Tania and George are extremely nice people and went above and beyond with hospitality.  Andy, the Mule, was also a great host.  His sleeping quarters are close by the camp site.  No smells and extremely clean.  Lots of ducks, geese, and cats.  It's a well loved farm and sanctuary for rescue animals.  We brought our two dogs and all was fine.  There is even a large "dog park" area, fully contained and safe.  We plan to visit and stay again when we are back in this part of Oregon..... one of our favorite spots!!!!  Thank you again, Tania and George!

Thank you for your kind review. We look forward to your next visit.

Not what we hoped for and we did not stay

When we arrived we saw the camping spot was right next to the donkey pen. The other side was a shipping container. It didn’t seem good so we left.

Didn’t stay

RV parking was right by the donkey shed. Noisy and sketchy.

Authentically nice folks

It’s especially sweet when you find kind, interesting folks in what seems like the middle of nowhere. Do yourself a favor and stop here to stretch your legs, romp your dog at the fenced pet area, meet some blessed rescue animals, or stay the night with amenities. You’ll be glad you did. It will restore your faith in humanity. We could all use some of that.

Nice People!

Nice spot for one RV with water and electricity. The off-leash area for the dogs is huge! There is no dumping, but they do have a porta potty set up (that somehow doesn't stink!).

The owners are incredibly nice and pretty laid back about arrival and departure times. They even gave us eggs from their chickens straight out of the coop, which made for a tasty breakfast.

There are chickens and goats and the cutest miniature donkey right next to the RV parking. The rooster does start crowing around 4am, so be prepared for that. There is less road noise than I thought there would be.

There is a clean laundromat, gas, restaurants, and grocery stores in Burns, just 30 mins away.

Thank you for the honest review. Hope to have you and your family stay with us again. The Tuckers
