Spring Rec sits on the banks of Browlee Reservoir, a 52-mile long reservoir on the Snake River. The reservoir is known for its large channel catfish, abundant crappie, and good bass fishing. The RV and tent camping sites, boat launch, boarding dock, and fish cleaning station all create a comfortable camping and fishing experience. Spring Rec is ideal for the angler, those who love the outdoors, or for those just looking for a scenic getaway. Know Before You Go:

All vehicles must display a stub from the fee envelope in their windshield.
Drinking water is available.

Brownlee Reservoir is generally full in the spring, but a drawdown begins in summer and may result in closure of the boat ramp at lower levels. Call the Baker BLM office at 541-523-1256 for current ramp conditions.

Ready for a renewal

This beautiful park has seen its day.The facilities are tired. The fish cleaning station is closed. The reservoir is very low It's $5 for camping. There are friendly hosts from Washington State. They told Us to park anywhere we wanted. I saw one other camper. It looks like in the past you would park in the parking lot to camp in front of your table and fire ring. T-Mobile offers 2/3 bar LTE signal. There's a forest fire station adjacent to the campground.

Pull out B4 rec site

Sat nite in Sept. Good dispersed pullout-carry own H2O etc. High clearance gets some privacy off access rd prior to rec site. A few miles off I84. Wind can howl and likely too hot during summer months. Good overnight b/w UT and WA. ATT 2-3 bars

Stayed outside in dispersed

We stayed outside in a pull out dispersed instead before the recreation site. Had all to ourselves. We dont need facilities. Location is good off freeway. Campground was pretty full of fishermen. No privacy. Setup weird. Gr8 price. $5. We had 5G T-Mobile and fields of sunflowers and a reservoir view.

Funky Camping in a Pretty Place

You get what you pay for here. Cheap, or even free if you use a pullout, running water, the toilets, and parking lots style camping. Excellent access road and not far from I-84. Strong Verizon signal there.

Off the highway quiet spot

Drive into Huntington. There is an Electrify America charger at T & T store. Site us about 5 miles away - good signs. At the Y in the road near the store, there is a sign for a state campground, which actually looks a little bit nicer. More trees and amenities. That said, spring was a very nice spot to sleep over. It is up a little bit above the river so you have a nice view and it was a full moon and it was just gorgeous. There was a vault toilet, which was very clean. There’s also a ramp for boats, and most of the groups that were staying there seem to be boating. There is a campground host and a spot to clean fish if you are fishing. Charge was five dollars. The market was extremely overpriced with a box of crackers, costing eight dollars that in the store would cost three dollars. No fresh produce or anything like that is available. It’s very much a mini market so stock up before you get there. There are three or four grouped levels to the campsite and two of them were full of a group. It seems this would be a great place to come with a group. We camped in basically a gravel parking lot that backed up to a grassy area with a picnic table and fire pit. There is no privacy at all between the camp spots.

Quiet, simple campsite

We stayed here for one night on a long drive between Seattle and Boulder. Slept in a tent next to the truck and left early in the morning. Delightfully off the beaten path and very quiet, aside from a distance passing train which didn’t bother us at all. We didn’t recreate at all but enjoyed the river views.

Nice place to sleep

Surrounded by mountains and waterfront. Quiet- although there is a train track close that did wake me once. But for $5 no complaints. Clean restrooms.
