Snake River Road Dispersed near Huntington (BLM)

Description

Snake River Road descends into a deep canyon along the Oregon–Idaho borderlands, where BLM pullouts sit above the water east of Huntington — close enough to I-84 to make a useful overnight, remote enough to feel genuinely off-grid once the day-use traffic subsides. The road in is paved but narrow and winding, with a steep drop on one side and some rough washouts near the pin; high-clearance, shorter rigs handle it most comfortably. Wind is a near-constant feature of the canyon, but the setting — river access, fire rings, and dark skies after dark — draws campers back season after season.
