Siuslaw NF Dispersed near Horse Creek

The coastal forest of the Siuslaw National Forest near the Oregon coast shelters this dispersed pullout in a wooded corridor just off a mostly paved road, about a mile north of Horse Creek Campground. Large rigs can back in — a 43-foot combined rig-and-trailer length has fit — though scattered potholes along the approach warrant a careful pace. The setting is wooded and wind-buffered, with Sea Lion Caves and Cape Mountain's ridge within a few miles to the south.
