Petro Shopping Center

SUMMARY PRESENTED BYT-Mobile

Sitting just off the highway in Phoenix, Oregon, Petro Shopping Center functions as a large truck stop with overnight parking for travelers moving through the Rogue Valley. The lot has spaces in multiple sizes, though RVs longer than 20 feet should note the listed maximum. Drive-in access is straightforward, and the location puts campers close to Interstate 5 with easy on and off movement.

Road noise is a real factor here. The site sits directly on the highway, and reviewers note it clearly at night, though one described a box fan as sufficient cover. Parking lot activity runs through the evening but tends to quiet down around 11 p.m. Amenities include drinking water, flush toilets, showers, and a camp store on site. The restrooms have drawn consistent comments about cleanliness. An on-site massage chair, available for $5, is an unusual amenity that at least one overnight guest made use of during a sleepless stretch.

The Iron Skillet restaurant, located within the truck stop complex, gives campers a sit-down breakfast option without leaving the property. Reviewers note the staff there as notably attentive. Beverage selection in the main store runs limited compared to a standard gas station, so stocking up beforehand is worth considering. Pets are welcome, and the site meets ADA accessibility standards. For travelers who want a quieter or more conventional setup, Pear Tree RV Resort is a nearby alternative just southeast of the truck stop.

Overnight

This is a very large truck stop, with lots of spaces (all sizes). Haven’t tried the Iron Skillet restaurant yet, but I plan too

Great overnight spot

Talked to the guy inside. Said good to park. Tons of spaces. Massage chairs. Not a big drink selection like a normal gas station so get anything like that before coming here. Restroom was clean. Right on the highway so definitely road noise but my fan drowns that out.

Overnight + food

Parked next to the Iron Skillet (great beer burger and breakfast place), just across from where the semi-trucks park.

I little more parking lot activity than i liked but settled down around 11pm.

Had a good breakfast at Iron Skillet in morning - really nice staff.
