Dumont Creek sits within Umpqua National Forest, managed by the US Forest Service and open from May through October. The campground has just three sites, which typically stay available outside of summer weekends. Vault toilets are regularly serviced; no other amenities are on site. The creek runs slow and deep, making it a workable spot for kids near the water, with a rocky rather than sandy beach. Campers looking for more options can browse tent camping around Umpqua National Forest, or check Boulder Creek Campground roughly two miles northeast for an alternative.
