Alder Springs Camp sits within Ochoco National Forest, roughly 30 miles southeast of Burns, Oregon. The US Forest Service operates this established campground from May through October, positioning it in open terrain that provides unobstructed sightlines across the surrounding landscape.
Campers can access several nearby Forest Service campgrounds including Emigrant and Falls, both located about five miles east. The open setting means limited natural shade, making this spot better suited for campers who don't mind direct sun exposure or bring their own shelter systems.
