Fishing enthusiasts will find five designated spots along the Lower Deschutes Wild and Scenic River at this BLM campground. Each site includes a picnic table and fire pit, with a pit toilet located across from the camping area. The access road creates dust, and train noise carries across the river from the opposite bank.
Wildlife sightings are common throughout the area. Campers seeking a quieter riverside experience might consider Devil's Canyon Campground — Lower Deschutes Wild And Scenic River located just over half a mile south. Note that pets are not permitted at Long Bend.
