We have many amenities to make your stay fun-filled, enjoyable, and relaxing. Our park features a swimming pool, playground, horseshoe pit, volleyball, and two 70 foot waterslides. We also have two fishing ponds, laundry facilities, LP gas, ice, firewood, and an on-site store with the largest selection of RV parts and accessories in the area. The Point Campground is located at the fun-filled Lake of the Arbuckles, which is considered a recreational oasis in south-central Oklahoma. As part of the Chickasaw National Recreation Area, the Point impresses visitors with its diversity of natural resources. The area's unique plants, spring waters and geological formations are unlike any in the surrounding territory. Explore the prairie-landscape for a chance to see bison, white-tailed deer, opossum, gophers or black-tailed jackrabbits. Recreation Hikers, birdwatchers and wildflower enthusiasts enjoy exploring this diverse ecosystem. The streams and lakes cater to boaters, swimmers, and anglers, and the Multi-Use Trail is enjoyable for hikers, bikers and horseback riders. Hunting is also permitted in varying seasons. Facilities Arbuckle Lake Camping at The Point offers more amenities than most of its neighboring campsites, including electric and water hookups. It's great for RV, trailer or tent camping. Natural Features Chickasaw lies in a zone where the eastern deciduous forest and western prairies converge. The park's flora and fauna represent both environments, as well as a unique transition environment. Lake of the Arbuckles is the largest lake in the park covering 2,350 acres. Nearby Attractions Try Little Niagara, a favorite freshwater swimming hole. The Travertine Nature Center is a wonderful resource to view nature exhibits, meet live animals on display and listen to rangers' presentations. Kiowa Park I lies along the scenic shore of Waurika Lake in the Great Plains Region of southern Oklahoma. The area offers many recreation activities, including fishing, boating and hunting. Waurika Lake encompasses 10,100 acres of water and about 12,000 acres of land, which provide ample space for visitors to enjoy the outdoors. It is about six miles northwest of the city of Waurika and lies in portions of Jefferson, Cotton and Stephens Counties. This facility is named after the Chisholm Trail, a trail used to transport cattle from Texas ranches to Kansas railroads in the late 1800s. Recreation Waurika Lake provides excellent opportunities for fishing and hunting. Anglers seek out channel and flathead catfish, largemouth bass, white bass, hybrid striper, crappie, walleye and sunfish. Approximately 6,040 acres of land around the lake are managed for game. Sought-after species include white-tailed deer, bobwhite quail, mourning dove, wood duck, mallard, pintail, teal, canvas back, cottontail rabbits and wild turkey. Boating and skiing enthusiasts play on the large areas of open water and along the the scenic shoreline. There are four large embayments and a number of smaller coves that make boating on the lake a pleasure. Facilities Kiowa Park I is a large facility with many campsites, including two group campsites with picnic shelters on the waterfront that can each accommodate about 60 people. All sites are equipped with electric and accessible water hookups. Boaters and anglers have the convenience of an accessible boat ramp and dock, and families can enjoy the open space, playground and swimming beach. Chisholm Trail Ridge Park lies along the scenic shore of Waurika Lake in the Great Plains Region of southern Oklahoma. The area offers many recreation activities, including fishing, boating and hunting.   
  
Waurika Lake encompasses 10,100 acres of water and about 12,000 acres of land, which provide ample space for visitors to enjoy the outdoors. It is about six miles northwest of the city of Waurika and lies in portions of Jefferson, Cotton and Stephens Counties.

Chisholm Trail Ridge

You can’t go camping in Oklahoma without visiting Lake Texoma, the 12th-largest lake in the US. Spanning the southern Texas-Oklahoma border (hence the name), the biggest of the Sooner State’s 200-plus lakes provides more than 90,000 surface acres of water primed for sailing, kayaking, jet skiing, and especially fishing: Lake Texoma claims more than 70 species of fish, including Striped Bass impressive enough to make it the Striper Capital of the World. Make sure to pick up a fishing license!


Out of the water, Lake Texoma campers can observe migratory birds and wild hogs in two wildlife preserves, lead horses through 25 miles of equestrian trails, hike 14 miles along lakeside bluffs, and retire to one of more than 700 campsites. Plenty of showers, toilets, potable water points, and RV hookups mean campers have the option to sleep rugged or glamp easy. 


When you’ve had your fill of sand and surf, travel to the opposite end of the state for Alabaster Caverns State Park. When an inland sea evaporated millions of years ago, it left behind a real gem: gypsum deposits that developed into some of the world’s largest crystal caves open to tours and wild caving. The biggest highlights of Alabaster Caverns State Park are a three-quarter-mile, 50-foot-tall main cavern, natural bridges, five species of bats, RV camping right near the caves, and best of all, the opportunity to camp in a cavern with a waterfall. For $40, you can rent the Water Cavern, which includes raised sleeping platforms and the option to sleep outside if need be. 


Give everyone in your party easy access to the recreation of their choice by camping in Oklahoma only an hour or two from state capitol. Oklahoma City is smack-dab in the center of Oklahoma, making it easy to get a dose of nature without straying too far from nightlife in the state’s biggest metro area. Hike to 2,500 feet and rock climb routes in the storied Wichita Mountains, then explore all 12,500 acres of Lake Murray State Park—the state’s oldest and biggest state park.
