Cozy and woodsy
We had an awesome time camping here. We were far away enough from our neighbors but close enough at the same time. The shower houses are slightly sketchy. There isnt a place to keep any clothes dry and only one of three showers produced warm water. We showered in our camper instead.
Premium sites are
We paid extra to have a "Premium" site, which meant we got a deck. That deck held our picnic table, but there was no room to put our camping chairs. And though we were close to the lake, you could not see it through the trees. We could barely get out of our trailer and into the driveway without falling into a ravine. The fire pit had to be put on the back side of our trailer next to the road as that was the only spot it could fit. We were told to check out other sites in case we want to come back. Ha. The staff knew no one who had ever been here would ever take this site! But... we won't need to check out other sites as we'll never come back.
Pre fall weekend
Paint Creek State Park in southwest Ohio, site 14. It’s was supposed to rain, but it didn’t. Nice park. Decent camp store. Nature Center had a couple of programs today. We checked out the monarch butterfly tag and release. Pretty cool, I learned something. They are setting up for Halloween. ATT wireless signal sucks. No WiFi. Which isn’t all bad.
Nice campground located around lots of things to do
Nice large campground with a fire pit and picnic table at each site. Camp site was decently sized though on a corner so can get a little busy. Bathrooms and showers were clean. Children’s play area was very nice - my kids loved playing on the equipment. Conveniently located near lots of hiking and outdoor activities including a large swimming beach.
Very much a family atmosphere at Paint creek campground.
We really enjoy Paint creek campgrounds. They have a family movie on Friday nights (when weather allows). They also have breakfast on several Saturdays throughout the season.
The campgrounds is also close to a fantastic bakery.
Very nice
We love paint Creek. Please make sure you check the grade of the site as there are several that have a nice slope. We didn't make it out on the water due to the rain but maybe next time.

Marble head is amazing
Great location, close to activities
Nice and quiet
Nice location , quiet spots
One of the best state parks in Ohio. Very Clean, quiet park
This has become one of our favorite parks to spend a long weekend or even a week as the park is well kept, bathrooms and showers are clean and there are fun things to do including disc golf, hiking, boating, etc.

Family Friendly
A great family getaway. Lots of camp sights, convenient playgrounds, putt-putt, nature center, trails, and climbing area. The bathrooms were standard & bring shower shoes. The shower wasn't the cleanest & didn't drain too well. Otherwise fantastic. Just a little bit down the road there is another area of the park that you can rock climb, picnic, canoe/kayak access, fish, etc. A beautiful area away from the campground.

Whoowee crowded and dense!
I've never seen such a dense campground. Granted, I was there Labor Day weekend, but this campground was huge, with very few trees and small lots very close together. It was chaos with people everywhere!
The shower house was just ok. Not clean, but not extremely dirty. Like most Ohio State campground shower houses are, mildly to very dirty.
I won't be staying here again because there was no privacy. I go camping to experience nature, not to be 12 feet away from five other families and hear their chaos all day long.
Great Lake
Easy access to boat ramp. Campsites are small. Wish the hiking trails by the campground had more of a lake view.
Great family fun!
We love it here! Staff is very friendly and lots to keep the kids entertained.
Charming
Cute, charming Ohio State Park. Enjoy 4 lovely hiking trails that showcase the parks features by taking you through the woods and fields. Fish is offered and their is boat dock . Only issue was that campground is walk in only . There are showers nearby and a dump station is provided. Overall this park is great for enjoying some quiet time.
Nice Getaway
Open areas but still allows for some nice, wooded spots. Has mountain bike trails that can get to other areas, but it’s a car ride to most park amenities.
Loved it
We loved our time here! We had to switch sites because our original site was on a hill and there wasn’t enough room for our tent! They were very helpful and switched us! Our kids loved the playground, my husband loved to fish, I loved laying in my hammock and we all loved the beach! It was clean! The bathrooms were nice and the shower house was nice as well! We hope to go again!

First Time Here
We stayed for just one night at site #34. It ended up being a great site for us and our dogs. There was space between us and our neighbors and we had access to the water. We did not venture out since we were there for one night but noticed it was very family friendly. The only downside we would mention is that most of all the other sites were packed in right next to one another.

Tent camping
very nice campgrounds. Very well kept. Bathrooms above average but typical for state parks. Unfortunately it rained so our stay was shortened but will definitely come back.
Year round camping!
A winter camping gem! Heated bathroom with showers are available for winter campers at Paint Creek State Park. An excellent disc golf course, hiking and beautiful lake views. Just past the town of Bainbridge, Ohio is Seip Mound to explore and hike the trails. Hungry...try the Amish bakery or just browse the Amish store on Highway 41.
