Fishing access on Lake Sakakawea draws most visitors to White Earth Bay Recreation Area, an Army Corps of Engineers site reachable by both boat and vehicle. The campground sits roughly 10 miles into a bay off the main lake, making it a dead end by road, so plan the drive both ways. Electric hookups are available, along with toilets and trash service, though the electric meters are reported locked outside of active reservation periods. Pets are not permitted. Little Beaver Bay Campground sits to the west for campers who want a different configuration on the same lake, and there are additional campgrounds near Sakakawea Recreation Area for those working through the area.
