ScoutWe stayed in early August. Hot, humid, and raining. The sites are large and well kept. Bathrooms and shower houses are available and are clean and well maintained. Dumpster and recycle containers available on exit. Overall very nice!

GuideThis has always been my favorite place to tent camp when I get a chance to stay here as it can get very busy in the spring and summer months. I stayed in February and there was only a few other near my site. I enjoy the convenience of the nearby grocery stores and beaches. But if you’re not back before they close the gate at 7pm you won’t be able to get back to your site until the next day. So be mindful of the time. It’s for the your and the other campers safety. But you can park at your site and walk or bike in and out on the side of the road.
TravelerWe spent 2 months at HBRV campground in spring of 2026. The staff is amazing. Our campsite was a little tight, as many of them are. But they also have some spacious, private spaces. There are only 2 washing machines for the whole campground, so laundry can get tricky on busy days. Several showers (5) including a handicapped shower. Nice clean, hot, high pressure showers. Not much climate control in the bath houses, so it can be hot or cold, depending on outside temps. Great walking trail around the park, as well as a small dog park. Grounds are well maintained & is located about 2 miles from the beach with a free shuttle back & forth. They do charge $3 per package for any deliveries. Very quiet, friendly park & we would recommend staying there.
ScoutThis place is so amazing. Everything here on site is neat clean and in good working order all the recreational facilities are fresh and new. The bathrooms are absolutely cleaned very carefully. There were many surprises here as we enjoyed all the facilities. A local food truck came by to serve hot wings one evening. There will be a pancake breakfast in the morning and that’s a nice treat on a travel day the Pickleball courts are some of the best we’ve seen as is the bocce and shuffleboard the waterfront has anything you would never need to enjoy the lake. We will most definitely come here again and again and recommend it to everyone. My five stars doesn’t come easy, but it was easy to give to this place.
GuideOur kids where very happy with the little pool and we found good facilities to do the laundry. There are some nice shady spots and some are a bit crowded. But good full hook ups.
GuideWe stayed here on Labor Day weekend 2025. The staff I spoke with were friendly and helpful. The grounds before you enter the campground area are beautiful and well kept. The campground itself has many spacious, full hook up sites with packed gravel foundation. There’s no grass due to the mature pine trees but the community areas have lush lawn and beautiful flowers especially around the pond. The bathhouse and laundry were sufficient. They had a nice pool, playground, volley ball court and horseshoe pits. They have a large dog park. We look forward to inviting some friends to join us for group camping here sometime soon. Their nightly rates were very reasonable.
