I was a bit worried about how the rangers....some reviews were negative mainly due to the rangers. But we had a great time and rangers/ campers were nice and respectful. Wish we could have more tents/car on site.
Above average KOA
Went there this weekend. The site was clean and the pond area was very scenic. Not too rowdy neighbors which was a plus for us
We had a wonderful weekend of peace and quiet. Definitely returning!
Stayed here back in sept 2015, it was nice and quiet. Our site was a little rocky but you can’t be to picky!
This is a beautiful campground! We go there every year and it was the first campground we took our first daughter at 5 months. We are bringing our second daughter this year! The sites and big enough foe the little ones to run around and has a cute little playground area. The bathrooms could use an…

Camping at Chenango Valley State Park is always a great time. The park is very family friendly. It has numerous hiking and biking trails, two lakes (Lily and Kettle) and a 18-hole golf course for guests to enjoy. The grounds and bathrooms are very well maintained and the sites are level for those…

I have camped here many times and still enjoy the area. Lots of hiking, biking and fishing. Boat and kayak rentals are available. Beautiful and challenging golf course too. Fill your fresh water tanks because there are zero sites with water hookup.
Excellent campground. The tone of the place is set when you drive in (although we drove past it). Everyone, staff and campers are friendly respectful even the kids! Grounds are clean, kids were constantly busy and happy. You can't beat the price. Seasonal sites are extremely well kept. …

There are 75 campsites here. About 20 are around the actual pond waterfront. The others are clustered closer to the ranger’s office. The north campsites are more private but walk up only. That’s where we stayed. Equipped with very large bear boxes to store your equipment and we had no problem…

Stayed at KOA in May during height of Covid . Owners did a great job in keeping safety plan in place yet allowing campers to enjoy the beautiful campground . Sunrises and sunsets are amazing there . Owners super friendly ... truly enjoyed our weekend and are planning a trip back next year ..
This was my first time at Mongaup Pond and we loved it. The place was all booked and we got lucky with a cancellation at a premium site on the lake. It is such a beautiful place and so nicely done. The sites are not on top of each other and mostly separated with some kind of brush or bushes. Lots…

We are full timers and took our daughter, her boyfriend and our granddaughter for a weekend camping. We had fun, plenty of activities, a big lake to fish in and a pool to relax by. Nighttime family fun as well. We worth a weekend of fun for the whole family.

I had a great time on a one night stay here at site 36. Very private and right on the pond. You can see a picture here of the water just a 10 foot trail away from our campsite. All in all a great trip. If you’re bringing a dog be sure to have your rabies vaccine info available as they will check.…
