Copperas Pond

Copperas Pond campground is located in the Sentinel Range Wilderness Area in the Adirondacks. The campground is accessible via a hiking trail that, while rocky and steep in sections, is relatively short at about a mile in length. Upon reaching a trail split, one path leads to a lean-to campsite while the other circles partially around the lake, offering multiple camping options on the eastern shore of the pond.

Eastern Shore Campground on Copperas Pond offers primitive, backcountry camping amenities. The site features at least one lean-to shelter for campers. As a wilderness camping area, expect no developed facilities like electricity, running water, or flush toilets. Campers should be prepared to pack in all supplies and pack out all waste. The natural setting provides lake access for swimming, fishing, and enjoying the surrounding wilderness.

No special permit is required for camping at Copperas Pond. As part of the Sentinel Range Wilderness Area, standard Adirondack Park backcountry camping regulations apply.
