    Riverbend Hot Springs

    Amazing, unique experience

These hot springs are FANTASTIC! This was our 2nd time here and we will make an effort to come back anytime we pass through the area.

They only have 5 RV spots, and they are COMPETITIVELY booked. Each time we've stayed we have been lucky enough to get cancelation bookings. Each site is big rig friendly, with easy back-in parking. We were in site 4 and had no trouble parking our 37ft 5th wheel with long truck (55ft total). Each site is full hookups with cable and free high speed wifi, and a picnic table. Current rates are 75/night for week days and 95/night for weekends. RV stays include access to the public pools and areas (during operating hours) from the time of your check in to your check out time the next morning. You can't beat that value!! Site includes 2 adults and you can add more for 30/person per night. I recommend going during the week so you basically have the place to yourself. RVs only, no vans, tents, or truck/car camping.

They also have a nice RV for rent, or they have casitas/hotel rooms that look gorgeous and some even have their own private yards with soaking pools. You can even rent a private soaking pool easily online or at the front desk. All the pools are beautiful and clean and every part of the hot springs property is perfectly manicured and so relaxing. They have a cute common area with coffee and tea, and a shared cooking area. You can rent towels and robes, and they have a small gift shop. These hot springs do not feel touristy, but instead quaint and relaxing. The cost is very reasonable and you can tell they put a lot of heart and soul into the grounds.

The views are to die for. The soaking pools overlook the rio grande river with mountains in the background. I have never been to a hot springs better than this one, and you can park your RV right across the street! Perfection.

    Riverbend Hot Springs

Access to Hot Springs is Worth Every Penny!

There are a few hot spring resorts that we keep in the back of our minds, always ready to return whenever we’re within striking distance…and this is one of them!  A good friend who used to live in T or C raved about this place, and let’s say she was not wrong.

While the campground itself isn’t much to write home about (just a parking lot across the street), quick access to the pools, the environment, and the scenery are simply amazing. The campsites are full-hook up slots, tastefully divided by local plants and shade trees, but very close to each other. You’re within the city limits, but it feels somehow more like a quiet neighborhood.

The resort offers showers, bathrooms, and of course a multitude of pools at different temperatures to balance whatever the weather might throw at you. With nothing but the Rio Grande River, and the Chihuahuan Desert sprawling into the distance, the resort is serene, and feels a million miles away from the interstate which is only a couple miles away.

Even with the electrical hook ups, we still gathered all we needed with our solar powered system, and our south facing campsite was perfect for satellite internet as well, even though the resort has some spotty wifi.

The town within walking distance has everything you might want, especially if you like New Mexican cuisine, the answer is always “Christmas” WYKYK. Gas, food, Walmart all close by, etc. it’s all there.

Nearby is the Elephant Butte State Park with a massive reservoir for all kinds of boating recreation, mountain biking and hiking. Just make sure you go at the right time of year! Also check out the Bosque Del Apache National Wildlife Refuge if you are at all interested in birds and other wildlife.  You'll find reviews for all of these places on our The Dyrt Reviews.

    Hot Springs Glamp Camp

    Wonderful hidden gem! 🌴🛀🌵

This is a cool & nicely maintained RV/campsite with a few permanent vintage trailers & a yurt. It is only a short walk to Main Street but it is very quiet at night. Highlight: It includes access to incredible mineral water baths built out of kitschy farm troughs!

The sites are separated by corrugated walls, so there is a nice amount of privacy while still having a cozy, vintage, community feel. The bathrooms are very nicely maintained and clean, and there is an awesome shared space with a fire pit. We planned to come for one night and stayed five! Can’t recommend it enough. Did I mention the mineral baths?!

    Riverbend Hot Springs

    Perfect road trip stop!

I can’t say enough good things about this place. Situated right on the river with awesome hot springs! There multiple pools to chose from and for privacy. They have running water and showers too. A cute little hot spring cat hung out with us in the lounge area around the pool. The springs & camping are located right in town and it really is a cool little town!

    Hot Springs Glamp Camp

vintage trailers at new condo prices

I'm staying in the "blue" or blue bell which is a circa 60's 1-bedroom aluminium rig. No TV - fine. No 12V outlets for charging - I didn't think about that. At $106/night one. might think the crank-out windows would all a have a screen and not flap in the breeze. Heating and cooling is covered once you figure out how to use the mini-split and oil-filled electric heater. They have hot tubs with mineral water, big plus apparently, but that  is not reason enough to not have adequate hot water in the unit. As a seasoned traveler I realize first impressions can be off, but my take on the neighborhood is that I would not go out there alone after dark. This small "park" is self contained behind walls and an automatic gate controlled by pass-code that is only available on site. The wifi is strong and free. Cell coverage looks real strong, too.

    Riverbend Hot Springs

    Basically a parking lot

The hook ups are all There and it’s easily accessible to the hot springs , but don’t expect any privacy or space. You’re paying for a parking space to have access to the hot springs . We’ve stayed here 3 times , it’s always clean and everything works. I love the hit springs but would prefer to stay in my rv than an overpriced room. You cross the street and you are in the hot springs , even gravel parking. Wi Fi is great , there is a convenience store within walking distance. Free coffee and tea in the morning, overall a safe and clean place to stay while you visit the Hot Springs.

    Hot Springs Glamp Camp

    Amazing glamping stay!

Highly recommend this gem. It’s tucked away and such a cozy and slow place to stay. We stayed in a campsite for 5 nights. Highly recommend more than one day so you can enjoy the springs and the town! It has lovely clean hot spring tubs that are open 24/7. It’s an intimate camp so we rarely had to wait for a tub. Also has clean bathrooms and showers and a grill. 2 blocks away from Main Street and 2 blocks from the Rio grande. Great host and great service too.

    Riverbend Hot Springs

    Amazing Nightime Hot Springs

What the other reviewers have said regarding the gravel spaces is totally true. What I wish to add is that the springs at night are amazing. We got there at 9pm and there were three other people there which were hard to spot as the place is fairly large. There are multiple pools with differing temperatures. Everything was quiet and beautifully lit. There were ample places to sit ranging from lounge chairs, to regular chairs, to hammocks. One of the pools even had two macrame swings. There was also a sauna and two outside showers. The spa sits on a water way and across the water there appear to be condos that were also lit up. The nighttime serenity and views were stunning. We will return in the morning to see what that experience is like, but even if it doesn’t compare, it’s very worthwhile even if you only go at night.
