Description
Open high-desert BLM land just off Snake Creek Road (CR 42) in eastern Nevada, this wide flat area sits a short drive from the boundary of Great Basin National Park with the Snake Range rising to the west. The landmark is a historic wooden corral that anchors the camping area — the exposed terrain means wind is common and shade is absent, but the sunsets across the basin are a consistent draw. Access is easy on 2WD, the site comfortably handles large RVs and multiple rigs at once, and a handful of fire rings are already in place.
