Wonderful views in all directions

We had a bit of a problem with directions because the roads on the map took us on a sharp left turn when we went through the gate at mile marker 22. It was blocked off with big bolders at the next intersection to get here. Also it had rained for days and the sand was very soft. It had big ravines and nowhere to turn around to go back. Not good if pulling a trailer. So don’t take the sharp left after going through the gate. Do the straight with gradual swooping left towards the Gem Field. That is where the boulder blocked road was going to take you anyway. It is a much better road. The camp spot is about a mile in on your right. A nice spot for maybe 4 or 5 vehicles. We managed find a level spot with nose tipped somewhat down for the van. Which we prefer.

Fantastic Location

Great location to go to Gemfield! Rode our bikes the 1 1/2 miles up the road and had a great day rockhounding. Nice level spot to camp there’s several spots for big rigs. We have a 32’ 5th wheel, the road is rough but not long and very passable just go slow. Antelope run through the hills and of course Gemfield is a must see. Full Verizon & Streaming with T-Mobile Home.

Nice desert scenery

We are just stopping for the night. I like that it is off of the hwy., you can't hear it at all! Gemfield Rd. is pretty rough for pulling a trailer. Lots of washboards & big holes. Just take it slow, and all is well.

Peaceful place

Very easy dirt road. Any vehicle could drive it. The directions take you to a perfect parking place and RV length could park at. Far enough from the highway that it was quiet sleeping. Wild burros are so cute.

Stayed overnight here on the way to vegas from reno. Nice quiet area cell phone service was ok. Wake up to donkeys in the area
