This city park has eight or nine spots available some have full hook ups and some have just water and some have just sewer and some have just electric. We stayed on spot nine, which had all three. Only downside to this little place was since it is the city park and there is a playground here, quite a bit of local traffic bringing the kids in. Nice walking trail around part of the golf course. When we were there, there was no place to pay, but I called the city clerk and she said just to put the money in a dropbox at City Hall, which is $20 now.pretty close to the road that goes through town so a little bit of traffic noise.

We found the Scenic Park RV Campground when we were looking for a spot to stay close to Sioux City, IA for a sports event for our sons. We were extremely happy with this city run campground.
The pads are in great shape. They offer full hookups. We did not have a full hookup site, but still had water, electric, and free cable tv. The view from our camper of the Missouri River and the Sioux City skyline was pretty great.
The staff is friendly and welcoming. The location is quiet and everyone staying there seemed very nice as well. Will definitely be back when we’re up that way again next year.

 there are some full hook ups hear the area around here is all torn up the road in is cobblestone so it’s real bumpy. The campground is really a mess. There’s nothing here except your hook ups and he’s used to having construction workers at 600 a month so he wants to charge me 40 bucks for absolutely no amenities. This used to be a city park but now it’s private ownership. I’ve stayed here before a year or so ago and it’s kind of a big mess but the hook ups work.

This small campground is right off the interstate, easy to get to. It’s right by a small truck stop, but the noise was not bothersome at all. There is a small dog park for the pups. Bathrooms and showers are clean. One of our party is in a wheelchair and had no problem accessing the showers or bathroom. Hosts are very friendly. Sites are close, but for a one night stay that was just fine.

GuideWe enjoyed this campground. We had a great view of river and lights of city. We were the only one in our loop so very quiet. The bathrooms were very clean but no soap provided which I thought was super unhygienic. No one carries soap on them all the time. Host was very helpful and friendly. The park is next to the YMCA and lots of walking biking paths along the water. WIFI very spotty. Bugs were bad at night.
ScoutHost was very friendly and helpful. They had some spots on the river. We stayed in a pull through that was very spacious with picnic table and fire pit. Spectated by trees so your not on top of your neighbor. Bathrooms and showers were very clean! Although no hand soap so bring your own. Showers were free and they had bikes you could check out to ride around. Park is super close to huge park with Tennis courts and other activities.

We stayed her for one night on our way to the Badlands. Arrived late and left so early we didn’t even see any of the staff. Campground and bath houses were clean. However, campsites are very close together. Great for quick overnight stop.!!!

Spots are essentially on top of each other. Luckily it was me sandwiched between family members but the spots are garbage.
Town was under a boil advisory, and a pretty bad one at that. We never found that out from our hosts.
The drive home to ohio was not pleasant for anyone in our party.
If you have a chance to pass this and just choose somewhere else; I would.
Shower houses were clean at least but there was zero water pressure. I literally had to wash my body with a trickle of water: at least it was warm (unlike my wife’s shower she had which was freezing cold)

GuideClean bathrooms, clean sites, amazing views, and wonderfully kind people that work here. I could not ask for much more. It is a little pricey to stay here just for a night but well worth it if you are a wesry traveler. 1000% recommend this campground.

RangerQuiet park. Gravel parking lot with 8 30 amp sites. Water and dump site on 11th st on the left pasted the ball field. $10 a night 10% discount for eligible people. We stayed 2 nights and would stay again.
ScoutTried this place one time last year (first time rv camping and first koa experience). We had never been to this place and were yelled at on multiple occasions on the first day for supposed "campground rule" violations that weren't posted. The owners, rather than approach us and calmly speak to us, chose to immediately start screaming at us. Spoke to others camped around us and they said this is just how the owners are. Wouldn't go back unless there's a complete ownership/ management change.
LegendI stopped by here at this site. And honestly I was not really all the impressed. I will say they do have some kind of security. Because I was not in the park long trying to visit a friend. Before I was approached and asked for a park pass. They do have a swimming pool on premises. But the sites were almost on top of each other. And honestly people were not real friendly. The lake access was nowhere as good as the Lewis and Clark side of Blue Lake. I guess just not my kind of camping.
GuideWe have stayed here multiple times, always accommodating, always clean. The sites closer to the river tend to be quieter. This is a city-run park and offers plenty to do. Sites are not crammed together and the staff is always helpful. Would highly recommend.

Right on river, but huge park with lots of campers, and tucked in between soccer fields. Safe and convenient though, and had a camp fire. Wifi not very good, but electric and water hookups were fine.

We went to Fremont for John C Fremont days and the camping was all taken. We heard Hooper had camping and went there for a couple nights stay.
There is a City Park with a pool and ball-field and they let you park your camper just about wherever you can. If you park by the picnic shelter you can plug in and they don't care. The pool lets you shower for free and there are flush toilets available throughout the night. The Golf course had a tournament that was very well attended so I assume the golfing is good.
There was no charge for camping.
GuideA tent site was $40 with no electricity so it’s more pricy then other sites but they have a ton of things to do. Checkers, chess, swings, play set, mini golf, inflatable bouncy blog, pool, and more. They had a gift shop with anything you needed to buy. The bathrooms were very nice and clean but did smell a bit. They had electricity/ wall outlets in the bathrooms. The highway is very close so you do hear cars. Privacy fences around the site to block out the neighborhood. Very nice staff!
