Description
Open BLM range country along a dirt spur off Spring Canyon Road, east of the Ruby Mountains Wilderness Study Area, sits at around 5,300 feet with wide-open views across the Ruby Valley. The road passes through a cattle gate — leave it as you found it — and offers two distinct clearing areas, with a leveled spot roughly a mile in and a second at the road's end where the panoramas open up fully. High clearance is advisable and four-wheel drive strongly recommended in wet conditions; trailers and larger rigs have made it in during dry weather. A 16-day stay limit applies, and cattle share the range in summer.
