Worst camping experience in 37 years

I had a pretty awful expereince with Apple Jacks 21 this weekend. I wanted to share to maybe help others get more clarification when booking. I had a lot of upset and disappointed friends that drove a long way for this. 12 people total.

I know this resort is new and just coming along. I…

Peaceful, Beautiful, Clean, Kid friendly, Great Staff, Wonderful Owners

Apple Jacks 21 is a wonderful place with GREAT owners. Dean an Erma are wonderful people that I enjoy talking to and being around. They have totally changed the campground! They will go out of there way to make your stay  welcoming and enjoyable on the Jacks Forks! This campground is new and the…

Beautiful primitive campsites

The sites are private and shaded, lots of trees. Sites are right on the river so you can hear it rushing as you fall asleep. Beautiful scenery with good hiking nearby. Sites are first come, first served, but so worth the risk! We LOVED it!!

Not a bad site here

Ok forget the ever running trains not to far from back of campground or the 3 mile drive on a dirt and gravel road, this is a beautiful park. The river that runs through it has great fishing. (Just down from fish hatchery) Just wish they had sewer sites available. Staff was great and very friendly.…

Beautiful Area!

Beautiful secluded area. Small (only 3 or 4 sites). River access and super close to stream/cave/waterfall area. Water from the cave is so fresh and clear! Truly a beautiful area!

A lot of concrete.

The area the campground is located in is spectacular. Worth staying in the area. We, personally, like more of a woodsy feel. This campground felt very sterile. You are not sheltered at all by the forest trees.

Isolated National Forest Campground On A Beautiful Lake

This small Campground is located on a lake with fishing and swimming available. The best sites are located in an open area alongside Lake. There are no electric hookups however water is available in the campground. The entrance road is paved however it is rather broken up in spots. It is a short…

A Small Rather Remote Campground On The Jack's Fork River.

This small campground on the banks on the beautiful Jacks Fork River features a pit toilet, lantern post, fire rings and picnic tables. There is no water or electric available. It is located down a short well-maintained Gravel Road. This campsite sees very light usage except on weekends in June…

Great spot to car camp

It was a little barren this time of year, I mostly had the beach site to myself, other than what I image was a group of high schoolers who came to party. They were loud and rowdy for about an hour then packed up, though not without driving by my tent and yelling a couple f**k you’s at me while I…

Backwoods River camping

This is a float camp along Eleven Points river. This one is accessible by 2 miles of gravel road. Several dedicated camp sites that each have fire ring, shepherds hook, picnic table. There is one pit toilet building. There is a beautiful blue spring coming out of the bottom of a pool formerly used…

Nice little park

We stayed here over Veteran's Day weekend and had a pretty good time. We camped in site 54 which the website listed as a 45ft pad, but it was pretty difficult getting our 32ft camper in there. Only complaints would be- it was a small campsite, not alot of room around the firepit, and the only…

Good place to stop for a few days

There is a small designated campground above the river bank sites described in the other review. The site typically costs 5 dollars a day but a sign up at the campground says fees are waved due to less services for COVID. Pit toilets, dumpster, and water all on site but not at each camp. Great spot…
